He was a fine poster most of the time and I'm sure a pleasure to meet in person. He could get quite shirty if you disagreed with him on anything though, especially issues like gun ownership. I seem to remember he also talked down to female posters often, although I could be misremembering.

I had little time for him. It’s funny that people were and are quick to lambast people like the fella from the Wirral but Dav got a pass because he was obviously educated and articulate. Don’t like that myself.
