How can anyone think this isn't a real virus?

I get that they may be critical of the handling of it but surely many of these idiots know people who have died from it as well?

Tbh Phil, sadly I've known lot more people last 9 months who've died from cancer than covid.

I absolutely don't doubt you of that

But that doesn't make either of them less important than the other but slowing one down can be done with certain social measures and a lot of common sense

Same here, in Wales alone for every 5 Covid deaths there are 55 cancer deaths, and that will go through the roof in the not to distant future once all the undiagnosed start to die.

I think the problem is, why are they lying to us? Surely in a true pandemic there would be no need for it. It only seems a little while ago, that they had to adjust the figures for including RTA/ accident victims as died of covid..

Even when you look at the daily new statistics where they report new cases, and also the deaths, I notice in the small print they died after receiving a positive covid test, well for me that means absolutely nothing.. Die of a heart attack, but tested positive for c19, assume they died of it.. I ask myself why, do they need to fiddle and manipulate the numbers.

Also this PCR test, is coming under a lot more scrutiny, many people saying it's worthless.
.

They’re not lying. They’re just completely incompetent

Phil, covid is the 24th highest killer in this country. Pretty sure you can differentiate the two.

Where are you going to put everyone who needs critical care?

Google how many beds we have in South Wales, and check out how many are currently full.

Taking into account we haven't even got to the traditional flu and infection season yet.

My grandparents are both over 90, I take zero comfort in your average age stat.

Mate your in a bit of a state over this Covid which is fair enough, you like many other have been scared shitless by everything that is being drummed into your mindset, but you really need to start preparing yourself for when the ticking time bomb of undiagnosed illness comes into play the Covid will be just a drop in the ocean compared to that, just you wait and see.

Mate, come back and talk to me when you have spent time on a covid ward in both waves.

I'm not in the least bit scared, I've worked right through it.

What I'm not, is some daft conspiracy theorist.

I notice you didn't come back with the answer to how many critical care beds we have available in south wales, and how many are now full.

Never mind, we can just blame it on 5G or the government trying to "control us"

It doesnt matter if its the 24th or the 2nd or even the 1st - it can be controlled and slowed down with certain social measures and a lot of common sense.

Those last two words are where we are going to really struggle compared to some of our European cousins.....

Slowed down/controlled?? Only temporarily though. Cant play hide n seek with this.
The Govt has wasted 6 months regarding an effective test/track n trace system. If that had been set up properly, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

That's an entirely different argument

Respect it's all about opinions, but we've been told to socially distance for 7 months in a variety of guises, just ain't working.

I think it's a bit out of order to call the poster daft, what he says may well come true..

Put the drink down and go to bed.

I've not called that poster anything, other than "mate".

It would of course work better if social distancing was observed to the letter but again a different argument 😂
