I’m just glad I don’t give a toss about xG bollocks.

2-1 and three points. Thems the stats I care about.

A strongly worded email off to the club lately as they changed how they close the road after the game and it was carnage. Almost a few blows swapped as well.

Good to get three points, good to notice a few posters missing in action from Wednesday and word of caution for those slating Idah, just remember the shit Vip was getting this time last season.
Good 3 points today, 2 top quality strikes from Vipotnik ( and I've been one of his critics). Atmosphere in the stadium was turning up until his 2nd goal. Not a great match , played well for first 35 mins but no end product from Ronald and Eom, though he was unlucky with the one that hit the post. Ronald had so much space in the first 35 minutes but created absolutely nothing of note.

Today's result gives us something to build on, I can imagine confidence has been slightly brittle within the squad over the last few weeks.

We just need to string a good performance tougher for the full ninety minutes.

We got the 3 points.

Vipotnik saved our bacon and luckily Sheehan delayed the substitutions because he wouldn't have been on for the 2nd goal.
I have a few concerns with how we are as a team and set up but I will keep that for another day.
Anyone watching it on TV, was the Norwich lad offside out wide to the build up for their goal?
Looked a yard or so from where I was in the stadium.

Just goes to show what a load of bollocks this xG nonsense is 😉
You can’t say that, Smurph.

The very fact that we score 2 and have an xG of 0.29 means that nine times out of ten we lose that 0-1, which is of course significant in the context of the season.

Today it predicated we'd score less than one, is that correct?

It isn't though. We created next to nothing again and were saved by two thundercuntd

It doesn’t always show the true picture. For example it doesn’t count the shots you don’t take, Eom slipping when through on goal would have counted as zero. If he shot then 1v1 with a keeper is a really high xG chance that we carved out. Their goal was an open goal from half a yard out so would have been nearly 1.0xG - yet was their only chance.
