• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Hes honestly done nothing, a few decent moment's here and there. But no stand out performance at all.
He like the other Swede has hardly plated . When he was staring games he played well -two assists and very decent ones. if you think he isnt head and shoulders above Eom then you need a head transplant

I would remove both Ronald and Key from the starting X1

Cullen still gets selected over Widdel

Inoussa isn't going to adapt if he isn't playing consistently.. and what Burgess doing playing ahead of him down the left 😳

Vigs could have cut out that cross for their second although him and Galbraith are the only positives at the moment

A new coach can't get into the poor mentality of the majority of our players. A team game with no teamwork.
Static and whiteboard football.
It really is pathetic that we choose so many wrong options and hand the ball and initiative back to the opponent.
A massive change needed and quickly as this team is relegation bound.
Surely not, there's a few posters on here have said " we are not going down" . Don't you believe it , the club (football wise) is a shambles. No football men in charge at the club, a clueless manager that should never been appointed full time in charge for a 3rd of the season. Any decent football man with a bit of knowledge would have known Manning and Still were on borrowed time at their clubs, and if Sheehan had been sacked a few weeks before he was we would have been in pole position to get Hellberg. What do we do? Wait until 3 other clubs are looking for managers and then sack him. As i said , clueless.

Do we know if KOL is going? He has been lingering around this team for a few seasons. And was seen as someone who could bridge between the under 21 and first team. Not to put all blame on him, but think he needs to go as well. Clean slate.
Like a bad farty smelll stinking the place out

Looking at the stats we have improved but poor finishing and gifting goals like we did through awful defending will see us slide further down

There are a few things (no doubt this site can add to the list) that are perceived wisdom, but really have me scratching my head
* All Brazilians are good at football
* Cullen is an intelligent world class footballer
* The top 6 in the championship are streets ahead of the bottom 6
* It is impossible to go a whole season without scoring a set piece goal
I think Matos has a great opportunity here - because in between crucial moments in the 2 penalty areas - we were every bit as good as Brizzle. I see a lot of decent players in our squad, and the margins in championship games are very fine.
Whether Matos has what it takes to get a tune out of this team is unknown - but he can start with a tactical approach that is fast aggressive and takes the ball to the opposition, and some set piece innovation.
If it was me (and it isn't) I would play Idah behind Vipotnik and give game time to Widel and Innoussa on the wings. Eom and Ronald (especially) have no end product - and Cullen is slow, weak and offering nothing. What we do about Josh Key is another question - he is a liability - Sam Parker anyone??

Look assuming Matos comes in then things have to get better.

OK he has very little experience as a manager and therein lies the risk, however has has lots of coaching experience having worked alongside Klopp for 5 years at Liverpool.

Let's hope he has learnt well from his time at Liverpool and can bring some of that to Swansea.
