Enjoyed the game, wasn't the humping I was fearful of before kick off. The manager and players deserve some credit for putting in a shift against one of the best teams in Europe.

Let's kick on from here with a win against that heading slapping twat on Saturday.

Widell, and Casey the plus points from tonight but I have to say I’m bitterly disappointed with the performances of Inoussa and Benson when he came on….oh and don’t get me started on Fulton.
Inoussa played really well. Benson couldn't really do much same as Ronald and VP. NOt sure FANS want. I think I'm off to bed. To many mad ones tonight 😂

No arguments with tonight, we looked great until dropping so deep. But it shows we have better formations and potentially better player options. Criticism will grow if this isn't translated to league games. Tonight has further demonstrated we are under performing there

Tell me one thing Inoussa did??? and Benson came on with fresh legs and was played in one on one several times but chose to turn and play the ball back.

Positives were
Widell looks fit and aggressive with no shortage of quality.
Galbraith still looks class against PL players.
Casey looks a fantastic defender.
Samuel’s Smith also looked good.
Innousa I thought gave then some issues first 25 mins

Widell Franco Galbraith in midfield are small in stature but they have a lot of bite and aggressive pressing.

Overall that was a decent performance, good 1st half, 2nd half not so much, however we were up against a top team even if they had mainly reserve players.

Some positives such as Franco and Galbraith in midfield. Casey had a great game, Samuel-Smith was good (apart from the 2nd goal) and Widdell looks like he deserves a run in the team.

Two players who I don't rate in Fisher and Key did OK so credit where it's due

I thought Idah was poor, zero pressure and closing down and a general lack of urgency, Benson also poor when he came on. The lack of impact from these 2 so far this season is dissappointing.

I’m not being overly critical or emotional here, I don’t really care and didn’t expect much but anyone watching that who is not a swans fan will see we were pretty rubbish.
No you are wrong, what most fans will see is that a championship side played to their ability and were up against a top level premiership team. I've been around long enough to have seen rubbish performances from us. Tonight wasn't one of them.

First 25-30 mins I thought we were the better side and, let's get it right, that's 25-30 mins of acquitting ourselves brilliantly against one of the best teams in world football.

After that? Well surprise surprise, they started to get a grip on the match against a team a division below them.

But we never gave in and we didn't disgrace ourselves at all.

I actually think we stumbled upon a few things tonight:

That a back 5 might just be the way to go if we want to release Key and Tymon further forward, Casey is probably a better CB than Cabango, and Inoussa is raw but very direct and is about the only player we have with genuine pace to burn. I'd only make one change for Saturday and that would be bringing Vip back in.
