• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Well one things for sure. At final whistle we are either going to be saying "Inspired choice!" Or "WTF was he thinking? " 😆
I knew this positive feeling around the club wouldn't last.. Its typical us... Matos Out 😜😜😂😂 Martin In 😂😂

This was a common problem with Bielsa teams
It was a problem and he had at Leeds, but he had them super fit, the reason it all went wrong was the board did not back him with players at the point he had broken them.

You also have to get the right type of players some can deal with the physicality other can't.

What may be interesting is that he's seen WBA first hand, hopefully he has seen something none of us have seen.

Maybe Widdell is the false nine, allowing us to really overload the centre of the park.

I heard Leeds couldn't afford to keep buying him his buckets to sit on! 😅

Leeds commercial revenues dropped when he left, they had purchased a lorry load of buckets which they couldn't shift, I think it's why they are so close to the FFP threshold.

That’s the positive slant.

Negative slant is the two players that have been most speculated to leave, Galbraith and Vipotnik are rested…

Middle ground (and by far the most likely imo) is that the stats they collect about players’ recovery / physical ability to play etc, have thrown up this team and we just have to make the most of it.

The only real choice made is probably leaving Wales on the bench. If we’d rather play without a centre forward than start him then we will have to bring in a loan as he is obviously not ready.

Our only creator and goal scorer missing replaced by a team of no goal scorers. Hopefully there is a method of improving players here.

This lineup certainly highlights the inadequacies in the squad. We are going to be weaker at both ends of the field.
Matos has earned trust though, his plan is for 90 minutes.
