People seem to forget (ignore), the opposition today were sitting in 7th and have been playing well above expectations.
Just going off what I saw, Charlton were terrible, regardless of their league position we could and should have taken advantage of how poor they were today.

Barring Vipotnik for Idah, I think our best starting 11 was on the pitch when Widdell and Inoussa came on. I'd love to see us start that way against Preston.
No excuses now. Widell had to start on Wednesday and Inoussa for Eom. VP back and that will be a strong team.

I have to disagree, 80% of our game was hopeless long balls that came straight back at us from a similar side who were ill equipped to play any kind of passing game. I haven't seen the ball spend so much time in the air than old style Stoke vs Cardiff City
Yeah, but we still looked better.

🤣

So much better 2nd half. We actually look decent at times and dominated Charlton for large periods.
To my mind our issue is the lack of creTivity from the 2 wide players I lost count of the times Eom and Ronald got behind the defence and had a chance to olay a killer ball. They didn’t and that is why our XG and goals scored and touches in the opposition area are all down.
That save by Vigoroux was beyond world class - next level 🔥

1st half, league 1 hoofball , 2nd 45 we were the better team, but a point on the road in this league is not to be sniffed at, on another day we'll nick an undeserved point on the road (Southampton anyone ), it's the championship

Preston North End v Swansea City
