Barring Vipotnik for Idah, I think our best starting 11 was on the pitch when Widdell and Inoussa came on. I'd love to see us start that way against Preston.
No excuses now. Widell had to start on Wednesday and Inoussa for Eom. VP back and that will be a strong team.

I have to disagree, 80% of our game was hopeless long balls that came straight back at us from a similar side who were ill equipped to play any kind of passing game. I haven't seen the ball spend so much time in the air than old style Stoke vs Cardiff City
Yeah, but we still looked better.

🤣

So much better 2nd half. We actually look decent at times and dominated Charlton for large periods.
To my mind our issue is the lack of creTivity from the 2 wide players I lost count of the times Eom and Ronald got behind the defence and had a chance to olay a killer ball. They didn’t and that is why our XG and goals scored and touches in the opposition area are all down.
That save by Vigoroux was beyond world class - next level 🔥

1st half, league 1 hoofball , 2nd 45 we were the better team, but a point on the road in this league is not to be sniffed at, on another day we'll nick an undeserved point on the road (Southampton anyone ), it's the championship

If you’re waiting for that I fear you may continue to be disappointed. That way of playing and the personnel in all our forward positions is exactly why we create nothing. You would think with all their laptop bollocks and stat f***wittery, someone might have noticed after 13 games that our main, often only, attacking idea is garbage.

"Vipi (Vipotnik) felt something in his quad so we are going to get that looked at," said Swansea head coach Alan Sheehan.

"We didn't want to risk it - we don't know how serious it is. We are going to have to get a scan and see where it is."

This is my point. 26 halves of football now - why the fuck isn't Sheehan dojng anything about it?

Our league games since the start of the season have been uninspiring, tedious and breathtakingly boring to watch. Most people who have seen Widell playing the last couple of games would have had him starting today, apart from the manager that is. I genuinely think he doesn't like having flair players in the side , hence our absolute atrocious attacking statistics. This team would be far more productive with the manager taking the handbrake off . I don't know what the owners expect this season, results and position wise, but , on the current evidence, i can't see us finishing any higher than what Martin did, which considering all the hype at the start of the season, will be a miserable effort.

It's not solely down to Sheehan, the main problem is they we have very average attacking players. We have wingers and wing backs who can't cross properly, and most of them are on their third manager here. We will not improve one jot in that department if Sheehan goes, I guarantee it. The only solution is to get better players

Most fans who have see Widell play in the last couple of games would have had him starting today. He's just too attack minded for this boring manager. Most of the league games this season have been mind numbingly boring to watch . Not sure what the owners are expecting, points and position wise, but we are probably going to finish no higher than a Martin side , and considering all the hype and enthusiasm at the start of the season is quite a miserable effort.
