Play like we did in the first half against Bristol and we will win the game.

There’s no reason to think we’ll play that way at all. We’ve done it a couple of times but only for half a game. It’s strange to think that a benchmark performance has been set in a game where we got stuffed 3-1 at home.

We got stuffed after reverting to Cooper hoofball as was the case v Huddersfield.

As the man said, we completely changed our way of approaching that game when we went 1-0 up - I have no doubt had we carried on as per our first half gameplan then they would not have got back into the game

That and if Freddie hadn't completed his brain fart moments ;)

Stoke have a few out, with no crowd, them struggling with no likely chance of a play off spot, and us really needing a result...am going for a 1-2 away win.
Tho I'd feel happier if we scored first. And hopefully lesson will be learned from Saturday.

This was my view at the time, and retreating 20 yards, but it wasn't hoofball ironically that killed us (their first goal) but it was being negative and tentative trying to use up time...'game manageshit'. Shame the opposition may not allow you to 'manage' the game in the way you would like.

If we'd hoofed afer going 1-0 from the start we might have survived, but I doubt it.

Anyway, one of our best performances was against Stoke, where we dominated them all game. Maybe we'll try and do it again.

Just saw a tweet that our last three wins at Stoke were 1961, 1981 and 2001. Lump on!

Hourihane has scored some important goals, unfortunately his overall performances have been poor and his presence has totally unbalanced the midfield.

Far more solid and balanced look tonight.
