Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Sunderland 0 Swansea City 1 | Att: 42,263 | The EFL Championship

Half time thoughts:

First 15 minutes we were the only team in it
A few cracking crosses and O'Brien had one great chance and two half chances

After that its become a much more even game
The spectacle has not been helped though by the officials who have constantly broken up play for niggly challenges
I can see a player getting frustrated at this rate

Fulton has been bad
Its not as bad as the usual Fulton bad, but he just doesn't contribute anything

Cullen on his own up top is pointless, he cannot contest in the air, he cannot hold up the ball and bring others into play and he is just as isolated as Fulton. At least he has an excuse of not being in the heart of midfield though

Definitely need to sub Cullen with Vip asap. Culls is having no impact whatsoever.
I notice Eom is getting stuck in a lot more these days, he seems to have beefed up and become more aggressive. Good on 'im.

Hope the man/woman is ok.

Going to sound like a bit of a cock now probably, but I don't see why games have to be suspended because of a medical issue in the crowd. Stop the game if you need to, fine, but you have 20k+ people in the ground and it's fairly likely something will happen to someone. This needs to have some thought, because this is becoming increasingly likely in the last couple of years. Don't want to sound callous at all...it's just something that needs to be addressed IMO.
If someone is having a heart attack and minutes from death, stopping a game of football is the least they can do.

Similar happened a few weeks ago, the game resumed after about 30 minutes. Suspended isn't the same as abandoned.

Right, but it’s the same video source though, so it would be interesting for me to know if that coverage is affected too.
Odd that isnt it i have the same probs tho quiet often, mine even went off on the swans side on weds for quiet a while.

Hopefully not as serious as it sounds
Despite some of the vileness from the Cardiff fans (and it has come from both ways in fairness) no one should go to a football game and not come back home afterwards

Oh I agree guys, I just think it's something that needs to be looked at, because this was extremely rare pre-COVID (I'm not suggesting it's anything to do with that btw).

Seems more physical Eom . Cullen as others had said is pointless up too on own. This is VP type of game. Hold up, physical.

Does it really matter?

This is VP game written all over it. Cullen just cannot hold up or get in air

Someone could be dying, all of us can spare 30 minutes while they sort it out. And what's the alternative, all the fans around them standing and chanting while they try to save his life?

You're definitely not callous but I think you're mistaken.

Alright I'll get back in my box for the second half and another Eom screamer. :ROFLMAO:
