Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea 0 Millwall 1 | The EFL Championship

Playing players out of position, and making wrong calls (substitution wise) is down to Williams though
Playing the last 20 minutes or so with no recognised striker on the pitch today again, is down to him...
Grimes playing as a CB
Key in midfield
No striker on pitch
Abdulai on wing
Not giving youth even a sniff

All down to him.

Key was one of the only runners today. Tried his very best and was everywhere.

Ironically the manager moved him into midfield as he'd moved Cullen further forward and Grimes was a third centre half as usual. If only we put players where they're supposed to be.

For all we know, Vipotnik could be like Eddie Van Halen playing with the South Gower Ukulele orchestra, waiting for his guitar solo to come but they don’t play any songs with guitar solos.
So you and Eddie Van Halen then have to spend 90mins watching the South Gower Ukulele Orchestra.

What a stupid comment, everybody knows there's only a North Gower Ukulele Orchestra!! 😂

Either the staff players are crap, or the owners have a kamikaze tax loss behind the horror film that seems to be on loop.
There sadly really is no alternative to ripping. up again.

Presumably, taking Vipotnik off was a fitness based decision?

Because he played 78 minutes and touched the ball 9 times so how could he have not been fit to play the full 90 when he was hardly involved in the game?

Sheer madness to not have a recognised striker on the pitch when we were (supposedly) trying to win the game, especially because we finally started to put crosses into the box once we'd taken our target man off

Your last paragraph says it all. There is nothing positive about the club at the moment of in the foreseeable future.

It is a struggle to even go to games local to us, in no way are we going to do "travelling" to games to watch inept displays.

Something that has been a big part of our lives is now an irritant. Nothing is expected apart from much of the same, so we are not disappointed.
I had every intention of going today as not been for weeks. The ground is <2 miles from my house. I stayed home. There is nothing pleasant about watching us playing football any more

And the hero worship put on some very average footballers I still find more than a bit odd.

The substitutions are entirely predictable they always have been. As are the midweek changes - the fact that none of our team (other than the undroppable ones) seem able to play three games in seven days at walking pace is more than alarmable.

Just had a conversation along the lines of these are professional footballers who are well paid.
In the real world people making errors and mistakes wouldn't last long in their profession.
it beggars belief that so many can't do the basics required for their job.

football as an industry is so over hyped.

And the fawning by a few over piss poor van drivers and Lego headed egomaniacs masquerading as football managers that send us out to walk around and pick stupid sides with stupid subs and players out of position.
