• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

I was surprised with so many people being content with him leaving. He had his limitations, but he'd barely played all season but he showed he has the tools to be a very good player. The things he isn't good at can be worked on so it would be great to see him have a pre-season with us. Plus it leaves us to concentrate on more pressing areas of the squad.
He can't control a football mun, he just kicks it Infront and runs very fast, and he doesn't finish off relative tap ins either.. but he'd fit in this crap multi million pound squad we have

He’d be a good squad player to have, especially if he can work on his finishing.

That's an upgrade on 'kicks it sideways and moves slowly'. Sign him up.

I'm all for Placheta coming back. Yea he missed a few sitters, but we looked far more dangerous with him and Ronald on the wings, than when he had Paterson and Ronald on the wing. his directness and Pace was a real problem for full backs and even if his end product wasn't great, it meant full backs couldn't wander too far forward because of the counter.
We also still have Ginelly due back and Having Placheta means there's no need to rush him back. Having those three as wide options is positive, Id imagine Ginelly would end up being the preferred starter, but Plachetas pace off the bench would worry a tired full back. If that Dembele comes in too, we have 4 fast direct wingers.

Placheta offers some versatility, he can play left wing, left back and through the middle as a no 10.
If the club are aiming to ship out Pederson and Tjoe a On then Placheta offers a good option down the left in cover for Tymon and further forward. If we are aiming to save money then we have to look at options like this.

If Placheta is coming back I assume Pato is moving on seeing as he still hasn’t signed a new deal.

And that’s what we are desperate for.
I’m pretty sure that Ginnelly was playing just behind the striker during his hot streak with Hearts…. More options.

Ginnelly's strengths are late runs, long shots and ability to work some space. All of those are better suited to the number 10 role behind the striker, he just needs someone who can properly play the role of the foil for him to make the most of his abilities.

Aye, that'll be Jerry Yates.

Time to accept where we are in the pecking order skip.

A rapid winger with 20+ Poland caps in his mid 20s for free (albeit he needs to work on his ball control / finishing) is something we simply cannot ignore. We can't afford to buy finished products.
