Summer Transfer Window

Vital over on that forum saying Santos is true, haven’t seen anything of him. Seems to have had a good start there but fallen off in recent times. Hopefully a back up for depth, wouldn’t be expensive either so there is that positive.

I expect rumors and reports to kick up a notch in a few days. Correct me if I am wrong

Clubs can't speak to players within their own league until 30 days before the end of their contract.

6 months outside of english league system.

Players contracts end June 30th so deals can start to be made and with the window open early on the first of June deals can also be signed.

Injury prone L1 defender..let's hope Sheff Wed offer him a better deal. No improvement on Christie in my view.
30 in 3 weeks time, Getting to the point where players downgrade their division as opposed to going up a division

Comments on Bolton forum. ie Get Rid

His legs are shot.

If we got relegated to League 2 then maybe keep him

Me.
Yes he will be a cheap back up. Be happy to extend his career on the same wage he is at at Bolton. But we need 3 decent ones. In my view he would not be a good 3rd CH especially in any games where we play 3 at the back or try closing games out with 3. It would also prevent a path forward for the likes of Lissah

Hoping this is just agent click bait.

Bolton fans less than complimentary about him.

Santos has played between 39 and 48 games in 4 consecutive seasons. So he's not injury prone. Having said that he did miss a fair chunk of the season just finished, with a pelvic injury, although still played 32 times. We will need to make sure he's fully recovered.

As a backup this seems a sensible option, especially given he's a free signing and will command a low wage. Made League One team of the year 3 years in a row, so must be top league one quality at least. As a squad filler, in a position where we have only one senior centre back, if Darling leaves, seems like good contingency planning.

Agree, these are the sort of transfers that we used to thrive on in the past. Not sure where all the negativity is coming from. Low wages, no fee and adds depth to areas where we are currently weak. Yes please and thank you for me (on the right terms)
