A bit OTT suggesting a squad player would have us heading back to league one. By your logic no team should sign league one players regardless of their pedigree. Signing experienced centre backs from Championship clubs will not come cheap in transfer fees and wages. We simply don't have the financial leeway to have consistent quality throughout the squad.I really hope Ricardo Santos link is just "papertalk" because that is the type of signing that will have us heading straight for L1
372 career games at L1 and below and no club has given him an opportunity in the Championship and we want to sign him on a free!!
Even as a back up / Squad player it's a no from me, we need back-up players to be pushing the starters for their place not just making up the numbers.
The owners definitely have the money to sign experienced center backs from the championship, they just choose not to. We are talking about multi multi millionaires here not Huw Jenkins.A bit OTT suggesting a squad player would have us heading back to league one. It's not they choose not to, it's because Financial Fair Play rules prevent them from doing so.The owners definitely have the money to sign experienced center backs from the championship, they just choose not to. We are talking about multi multi millionaires here not Huw Jenkins.
