Vital first seems to indicate that it's happening, then not. Have the club withdrawn because of the publicity or was the initial info wrong?

In any event I can see us trying to make further use of the K and J leagues. Plenty of good value there.

I disagree. I think he would be a good fit. However, his contract has been extended, and his wages and signing-on fee would probably be prohibitive. He's been linked with Sheffield United and Sunderland, so I can't see us managing this. I see him as a really solid all-rounder, and his average or above average stats in all areas backs this up.

Mepham always looked like an accident waiting to happen under Rob Page when he set him up as part of a back three. He has looked better under Bellamy but an improvement on Page's coaching standards isn't exactly a high bar.

Most of his career was League One and Two, Ipswich signed him when League One, played 39 games in their promotion to premier season but only 11 games played in the Premier League. Was he injured last year?

Sounds a decent player.

Edit: 11 games was from wiki, another site states 16 starts and 2 sub appearances last season.
