All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
Thank you though for all the memories

Why on earth are they persisting with a 1 person commentary - it makes even exciting games stale. Prices have gone up and the coverage is even worse. I'm guessing its to do with £££ (sorry, $$$ as I'm watching from the USA)...but the product is awful compared to what it was 3 or 4 years ago.

They must be aware of the issue...I can't imagine it's a difficult fix either. SwansTV is no longer a fairly cheap way to watch The Swans online either - the product is substandard...but at least get the feed correct for god's sake.

It's getting silly now.
As well as the crowd noise being too low, it's also pretty clear that there are no pitchside microphones. Or if there are, they're not taking any audio from them. But if there were, it would probably make it very obvious that the audio and video are out of sync i.e. for example, you'd hear the goalkeeper kick the ball and then a couple of seconds later see him kick it.
Surely they wouldn't turn these mics off in order to hide the problem, would they?

Complaint sent. I pointed out the monthly subscription to SwansTV is currently more than a months subscription for Sky Sports (9 channels of constant sport) and that I expect better value for my money.

As with most things at our club we try and do things on the cheap and end up doing it badly.
Having a commentator for away games who is sat in a room hundreds of miles away watching the game on a TV screen is never going to make for good commentary. And as nice a person as A O'C is he isnt a commentator to make the game at all sound interesting - indeed he spends more than a quarter of the game throwing around stats in the same way that Russell Martin used to do.
For home games the effect is just as dire. I couldnt make yesterdays game but watched the Stoke stream ahead of our own as I have started to prefer to do as the opposition largely tend to provide proper commentators.
SwansTV has become a bit of a joke over the years and doesnt get any better. It follows a general feel in the management of the club under the charlatans that bought it 8 years ago
