• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Here’s another funny wrinkle…

If you’ve been vaccinated outside of the UK you absolutely, positively cannot get an NHS Covid Pass.

Also, will this be enforced on players and staff?

As I’m headed your way next week on a long delayed bi-annual visit from the US, I’ve been working through the wide assortment of varied regulations etc.

It’s crazy to me that border entry requirements are recently being relaxed to encourage tourism, but at the very same moment the Welsh government is making some requirements more difficult.

For the record, I’ve been vaccinated for nearly 6 months and am happy to comply with whatever regulations are introduced. That said, if they are literally impossible to comply with, what then?

Seems my only recourse will be a COVID test before Cardiff , but as it stands now I have to have a day 2 test around then anyhow.

Great post. My EU digital Covid pass presumably wouldn’t be accepted either - yet it‘s OK to get you into the country. Have to take the 2 day test as well. What’s that all about? Doesn’t apply to UK residents who fly in on the same flight. Absolute bonkers. Nothing surprises me with Boris Island these days though.

The vote went through by one vote and one MS who was going to vote against it was locked out on Zoom.
Stinks.

He was in Manchester for the Tory conference and was given ample opportunity to vote remotely.

You realise the rules for Wales are set by the Welsh Government, yes?

Yes. Wales has missed a trick. They could have announced that the EU vaccination pass is also accepted in Wales and that EU residents don’t have to take a test 2 days after arriving providing they are fully vaccinated unlike in England. That would have boosted Wales‘ profile in Europe and stuck two fingers up at Barking Boris and the little Englanders.

**UPDATE**

So, through a private email the Welsh government has responded that a US Covid Vaccination Card will satisfy the requirements. I can only assume the same would be true for the EU Pass as well.

Also, I’ve relayed this information to the club and it seems as though everyone is/will be now on the same page.

Fingers crossed…

I hope so, and well done for making the effort.

Once you have signed in and have your passion your phone, you can save it to your files for easy access for any games you attend over the next month. Saves having to login each time

Will that be acceptable though? The expiry date on the pass changes all the time. Just checked mine and it's 8th nov 2021 11.32am.

Yes covers you for every event and night club you attend until 8th Nov, then just log back in ready for your next event after that date

Unless you get 48 hours which is what comes up every time for me (vax2).
