When people assume things I can be, yes. We have no idea the plans behind his signing, especially when he was signed from a club that played him RB, just like we have no idea how much Idah was signed for.
There's no assumption.

Fill your boots, I'm not getting drag in to a back and forth, this thread has already been ruined once.

Exactly, you are assuming.

The player quite clearly is a RB, 6 and 8 and was signed from a team playing him RB.

He’s not a midfielder playing out of position as suggested. It’s just false.

If we sign a RB this Jan and he goes back inside I’ll happily concede. But it’s quite clear that he is better there and the results back that up, we haven’t been linked to a single RB.

Take the hint, I'm trying to be polite.

He was signed under a different manager who played him in the position he was signed for.
The fact that a different manager plays him somewhere else doesn’t change the original intention.

Because managers don’t sign players. The club signs players and the managers then use them as they see fit.

We were first linked to him in Jan when we had Luke Williams and Ethan was playing RB at the time, he wasn’t signed for Sheehan quite clearly.

Sheehan thought we were better with him in midfield, Matos clearly thinks we are better with him at RB and I agree with him.

He’s duel positioned which we obviously knew when we signed him.

No managers don't sign players here. They have input into what positions they feel need strengthening and then Adam Worth and others look for a suitable player within budget.

I am sure Sheehan was fine with him, but the clubs intentions of signing a player doesn’t always have to align with the manager and how they immediately use them. The club signs players for the long term with a whole load of scenarios to cater for and with Ethan I’m certain his ability to play multiple positions was what made him so attractive.

We can’t assume he was signed to only play CM just because Sheehan played him there.

Strangely we haven't played him at right wing.
I saw him play there for NI in front of Conor Bradley who is their RB. They were outstanding as a combination and terrorised the opposition that day.

Well, we are just all going to have to agree to disagree.
He is versatile but it's no coincidence for me that we tried signing him after Grimes left and when he did sign, he then instantly started off in midfield.

I think he was signed thinking it was handy he could cover RB but never thought he would end up there due to default because Keys form went off a cliff.

Per minute of time on the pitch (including Vipotnik). That was true as of 3 weeks ago, not checked since.
Per mintue is good granted, but he's not been worthy of minutes on the pitch, which says a lot more about him than 3 goals and 1 assist in 613 minutes.

This makes him look like a 1 in 2 (just over) goalscorer and making a contribution goal contribution every 1.5 games (just over) and that isn't the case otherwise he would be playing more minutes, his stats are padded out with a penalty, tap in and 1 decent strike from the edge of the area other than that can you tell what he has done this season?
