Stand by yer beds Monny. This isn't over yet. He's playing the mental health card cos maybe he's aware of what else is around the corner.

Aye, they are all on their way out of the woodwork now Saint. All his BBC 'pals' will be queueing up. I hope the hospitalisation isn't a self harming one. It's odd isn't it? At the start, if anyone had said, 'pick someone it isn't' he'd have been at the top of my list.

Looked at coldly, his actions have been beyond belief for someone who had so much to lose.

It’s good you’ve never let him grab any of your money by having Sky mind. 👀

I'll clarify that by saying I did have Sky at one time, not had Sky for longer than I can remember, I still watch Sky through another mediums Now Tv.

I don’t know how this has been such huge news. Far more important that Boris the Clown hasn’t stumped up the WhatsApp messages. Bloody smokescreen.

You answered your own question there mate.

Because people, especially men are like old cockle women, love gossiping about tittle tattle, rather than subjects that really matter.

Look how many replies the thread of Johnsons messages has had...Oh.

To be fair, he's had well documented bouts of severe depressive episodes for approx 20 years.

What actions are those then?

The met have said no offences have been identified the Sun have nor presented any evidence to support these allegations by the parents. The only quote apparently attributed to the suspect prior to his wife’s press statement was that the presenter was apparently “absolutely furious about the allegations”. Ie He denied them completely.

Some people should be very careful about commenting on whether there is anything in this or that Huw Edwards has done anything at all.

There are undoubtedly going to be legal ramifications for some people following this whole sordid incident and i have an idea that they wont be going against Huw Edwards but some areas of the press and internet warriors should be concerned.

Seriously - this post is vile.

The police have confirmed that there are no matters of an illegal kind, someone with a well documented history of severe depression has been hospitalised and you’re assuming the paper who printed all this ignoring the express written denial of the person involved must have ‘something up their sleeve’ because they have absolutely no history of just lying do they?

The ONLY people that this concerns are his family. And the other people involved.

Yep, suffered for years, he went off the scene for a good while, depression is an evil illness.

Absolutely this

I was astonished at 'second young person' to then find out it was a 21 year old. If they were girls it would be a different story, or not a story. If there's nothing illegal, in a fair world he should clearly be reinstated and get front page apologies for wrecking his life. Obviously he has already been tried and found guilty of having a quite legitimate sexual preference, so he's done for by the mob. His poor family. Of course, everyone throwing stones at his 'secret life' (which I also personally can't grasp why he pursued, but so what, none of my business) is a paragon of virtue.

It has become disgusting.

We have no way of knowing what his family did or didn’t know of course.

At no point has anyone actually said he did anything other than send a few messages and potentially buy pornographic images. Oh, and have a cup of tea.

“Playing the mental health card” is a pretty scummy thing to say.

Hold your horses cowboy.

It's pretty obvious from my replies I don't believe he's done anything wrong unless and until any illegality is proven. It's also obvious that I am talking about the reputational damage he risked by his actions by trusting that this would never come to light, simply because of his position making him suceptible to exactly what has happened, when in a saner world it would simply be a private matter.

As I have clearly said, he has been publicly hounded for a sexual preference, and it has become disgusting. Perhaps you should take a bit of time and be more careful yourself before jumping to incorrect conclusions.
