If they did play there I'd like to see you on stage doing a wheelie or two.

Me too and I shall be taking you along to introduce you to my chums In the band.

I went to the darts and it wasn’t very good. Couldn’t see the board unless close up, the beer was shyte and over priced and the novelty factor soon wore off.

Was great when I went 10 years ago, was shit when I went 2 years ago. Maybe it's changed, maybe we have? Still enjoy it on tv.

I much prefer the TV version.

I think it's a good size capacity. Bigger than anything in Cardiff apart from the CIA/Motorpoint.

Only issue trains east of Swansea are non existent in the late evening.

It is a sensible size. A lot of the Cardiff catchment have last trains which make most gigs by train impossible. Could see on the comedy circuit and would be good for big but not mega bands. Newport Centre was great for bands in the late 80s and early 90s. Saw R.E.M.,
Cure, Stone Roses, Wonderstuff, Inspiral Carpets and Wedding Present there. I think that was about 2,400. Bigger than the ‘college circuit’ but short of the big arenas. Could certainly see those on the ‘nostalgia’ circuit playing there. The arena in Liverpool has large and small arena arrangements for the main auditorium (4K and 11k) and has a lot using the smaller format.
Also has a 7k standing only arena/exhibition space. If it has some smaller rooms can also handle conferences

You'll be ok, there's a big car park next to the LC2

I’ve been told that if they take the floor seats out (stalls) they can add another 1000-1500 to capacity.

Its all down to Agents Promoters and Swansea council what could go wrong.

Well at least we have something here for a change

Orchard entertainment will be bringing a lot to the arena like they’ve done for Singleton Park.

None of me and Profs obscure artists will be playing there.

OK, dont know any of them but as long as we get decent acts i dont care. Just googled and Jack Saveretti was there that would be a good start just saying.

Not good for teenagers who can't legally drive, or don't drive etc

There's trains, all after 2300, to Swansea, Llanelli & Fishguard, Hereford, Bristol, Gloucester after gigs in Cardiff.

I have a feeling it will be some kind of Welsh gala type event to open it with the usual supspects of Tyler, Boyce etc..

Good promoters tend to sniff out the tastes / demographic of a particular area and a lot of the bands i like will still give Cardiff and Swansea a swerve due to the brilliant venues they have in Bristol (Thekla, SWX, Trinity, Academy etc..) bigger chance of selling the tickets.

It will be be commercially middle of the road stuff mixed in with the likes of say Gerry Cinammon, Snow Patrol that kind of dirge.

But not Pontypridd,’Rhondda or Merthyr for example. Few local trains after 10pm and often cancelled in the last 20 years.

Maybe improving now. When I saw the Smiths in 1984 last Treherbert (Rhondda )train was 12.05.
By 86 that was 11. Went to 10.20 in the 1990s. It’s OK catching the tail end of intercity services. Merseyrail is good in contrast. Last train out of Liverpool is 12 and from Chester at 11:45. Put on late Trains at Xmas weekends too
