• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

I think we'll look to bring three more in:

-Striker
-LB
-I have a feeling Sheehan wants another option out wide, particularly on the right. Ronald'oh has his merits, but I think someone with real pace and who is a little less...clumsy in and around the box is desired. With Bianchini out on loan and Ginnelly a non-factor, we're a little light on options there.

I completely forgot about Ginnelly.
Is he injured still/again?
Telling he didn't get close to the squad for the cup games.

Not sure it does. If you mutually terminate your contract aren't you a free agent and therefore able to sign for someone else, even outside the window?
You have to be a free agent when the window closes so if his contract is terminated before 7pm on Monday he's able to sign for another team at any time.
If his contract is terminated after Monday he can't sign for another team until January

Bamford released by Leeds. And before anyone says it , a big NO THANK YOU

I mentioned on page 325 of the summer transfer thread (RIP), that spunking big money on a striker is making me feel uneasy.
I really think there’s a player in Vipotnik but since the Dickey Muff era, we just aren’t giving our strikers enough service.
Will a brand new, multi million pound striker fare any better?

Jayden Danns would be an excellent loan signing for us, looks a brilliant player.

If spending on a multi million pound striker brings better movement, better finshing, more physicality and the ability to hold up the ball and bring others into play (or create space for them), then yes they and the team will fare better.

We get the ball forward a lot quicker now but it's not sticking.. a striker who can hold the ball up will help all round
