Trust Legal Action Called Off

Agreed. Losses on the pitch, getting screwed by owners with no interest in the club and financial difficulties I can take.

The Trust just rolling over in this manner is very difficult to take. I keep thinking back to the Trust many years ago and it feels really sad. I can’t begin to imagine how people who have invested significant time in it over the years must be feeling.

It also shines a light on the sellouts again too, doesn’t it?

IMO there are people walking freely around Swansea (and even attending games) who have absolutely no right to be.

Spot on. I’d rather them have gone to court and lost everything before this.
Realistically IMHO that would never have happened as the Trust had a limited pot where as the Yanks and the sellouts ( assuming the action would have been against all of them ) had much more money to draw on and would have dragged it out until the Trust were forced to settle

I appreciate and understand the sense of betrayal you and most supporters feel
However some perspective :
1) The time we sought re-election
2) The day the locked the gates prior to the Walsall game
3) The Petty era and the consequent fight to save our club
4) The time when had we lost to Hull, we would have lost our league status.
In comparison, while the whole Trust settlement thing stinks the more I learn about it,
it still leaves us with a solvent club with no current debts sitting basically mid table in the Championship with no threat of relegation this season and potentially better things to come next season.

No current Debts?? Has Silverstein just given the club 10million out of the goodness of his own heart then? Of course he hasn't that debt and other debts that we are yet to know about are gonna need to be repaid at some point.
When was the last time anyone, who could be trusted saw the books so to speak?
I agree that down the line the legacy of the Yanks and Silverstein 's involvement in the club may well see us lumbered with debts.
That is why I said current

Where the hell have you been,on the moon?
Why are you and so many other people so out of touch with what’s gone on over the last few years?
The costs were going to be covered ffs.

I’ve got to log off my blood is starting to boil and I’ll end up saying something I’ll regret, goodnight.

Well we can argue about this forever but the names mentioned above wouldn’t have accepted this deal and that as they say is a FACT.

That's the thing, mun, FFS.

Far too many on here are too accepting of mediocrity. Mediocrity up against proper commercial nous.

Why on earth settle with 'B' teamers from the off ? 'B' teamers enhanced with 'C' teamers like ECB and Lisa who have both failed us, massively. A Finance 'affiliate' who knew nothing, nor delved deep enough to know anything.

A proper shite show from start to finish, in so many ways.

The worst bit right now is how the shite show is now blaming the next version of the same shite show.

Warra a complete shite show, The trust almighty.

.
So who would you have had on the Trust board then ?
Ever thought of running yourself ?
Bearing in mind everyone who represented the supporters did so voluntarily and gave up their free time to do so ?
You criticised ECB and Lisa, who appear to be two of the most knowledgeable and sensible posters on here, so who else could have done a better job ?
Also does your criticism also run to Phil S, who ( as far as I know ) had no more qualification to hold his position?

Of course he/she hasn't thought of running themselves, they're too busy with their main role in life, being an internet troll and taking inane pot shots at people who probably achieve more in a day than AC has in their life.

Just ignore the troll, this has been an excellent (albeit depressing) thread and certainly the best/most informed discussion on the subject I've seen anywhere online. Don't let them derail it, just ignore them and deny them the pleasure.

I see the abuse of ex-members has started elsewhere. 🤮

Clarkson’s had an early shandy over there today I see. Let’s see how that joint statement holds and whether that remains.

Just be careful what you say you don’t want their lawyers after you for damaging things.

Whatever people's feelings towards the outcome, personal abuse of former Trust members is just not acceptable.

Yes but some people are hypocrites.

I appreciate that and I can't claim to have followed the Trust and all the legal action in any depth ( you may have guessed that ) but although I haven't met ECB and Lisa ( and have only met Phil and Stuart on a few occasions), these guys seem to have the club at heart and don't deserve to be slated the way they have by some.

We all have an opinion on the level of competence and honesty of those involved...

Correct me if I'm wrong, as obviously I've not been posting on this yur forum before very recently, but it seems from the outside that people on that site spend their time slagging off all and sundry, including people on here, but cry foul when that is reciprocated, even if done in a far milder manner? Despite some very public statements talking about agreements how everyone needs to play nice.

Obviously, I'm completely out of the loop on such things, so I might have read the situation completely incorrectly.
