Swansea’s press conference, due to take place with Russell Martin at 8:30am tomorrow, has been cancelled.

To me that’s the games off for sure.

Even postponing one full round of fixtures is going to create problems, more than one and there’ll be chaos in a season that’s full already due to the World Cup. Especially if the weather in Jan/Feb is grim.

Surely with the EFL postponing tomorrow night's games they would have just postponed the weekends all together the same time?

Yeah, we're all sad la la la. This has no effect on the football and it should carry on. Brings the country together to share our grief. Fair enough knocking it on the head for day of the funeral but no more than that.

Postponing games, and other events, until after the funeral would seem rather disproportionate. I reckon it's 50:50 either way.

Seems to be massively different views depending on demographic and location though.

Think they’ll go ahead if it’s upto the leagues, they’ll just put memorials in place for the games like they done at United last night.

The funeral will more than likely be next weekend, so no games then either. Carlo3 has also called for 7 days mourning AFTER the funeral.

if they call my kids mini and junior football off this weekend, sign me up for the revolution.

Of all seasons, this one isn't the one for 2 weeks to be taken out of the schedule.

Personally don't see why Championship teams are taking a break for the World Cup.

Thank God the game is off as judging by the responses on the Twitter feed when the club issued a condolence message, the club would have been utterly humiliated by some of our support.

Seriously, if you don’t care, no need to say so a hundred times. It’s just unbelievable how little class some have.

Surely common decency and basic manners mean that you can empathise with the family and also with those in our society who are upset by this even if you don’t agree with them? Silence is the correct response in those circumstances I would think?
