• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

… the player, one thing is for sure - he has never wanted out of Swansea City
genuine question. where are you getting this from? is there any evidence of that?

he gets paid well. is well protected. seemingly undroppable and is captain. why would he leave?

I think he causes more issues behind the scenes than we know tbh, I bet he was the instigator behind getting Duff out, and Duff had big balls when it came to saying what he thought was right, and he was bang out with promotion over a derby win 110%
He certainly was right about promotion over a derby win, but he didn't help matters by his team putting in a shocking performance up there and meekly surrendering.

Oh I have to disagree on this one. Every window he has or be that his agent flirted with going. He has stayed yes, and could be seen as commited, but would of gone if a high fee would come in. Little loyalty in football. Nearly 30 years old, this might be the last chance we cash in.
That's the nature of the business and true of every employee in any job, but he has never actively wanted out.

We're fucked, they are ripping the guts out of the club, P&S is just a convenient excuse fans shouldn't be failing for the nonsense.

P&S is not an excuse, it's a fact of life. It is there to stop badly run clubs getting themselves into further trouble.

In other words, it's there to protect clubs exactly like us from doing more harm to themselves.

We're losing £20m a season through fuckwittery. I'm actually really glad those rules are there because if they weren't, God only knows what this lot might end up doing.

I think that with different instructions (OK, I think it would need some shouting, actually quite a lot of shouting) he could be a very useful player. When he does go forward he's pretty good, and if that became his mindset we would see results.

However, the Board and whoever would have to make sure that he and his mates in the team couldn't undermine those instructions with tales out of school and general whinging.

Yet Cardiff are millions in debt and other clubs don't seem to pay much attention to P&S

How much is the club gonna lose if it drops through the trap door into League one ?

Except that's just not true.

Middlesbrough are a good example. Before P&S, Steve Gibson would sign a load of cheques to fund promotion pushes just because he could. Stoke would also do it if they thought they could get away with it, Denise Coates is absolutely loaded. But they're not allowed to do it anymore.

Cardiff were embargoed not so long back for not following the rules.
