Whittaker recalled

I haven’t seen the interview, but Martin apparently said that there’s 4 or 5 players ahead of him? Who exactly? Obafemi and Patterson are likely off soon, and as much as I like Cameron Congreve, surely MW starts ahead of him every day of the week?

Obviously we want more money. This might be a ploy to get them to up their bid. Don’t pay you don’t get him for your promotion push on the cheap on loan. That would make sense, because can anyone really see him on the pitch for us?

I suppose Martin did a U Turn on Benda, but I still can’t see Whitto getting more than a minute at the end here and there, if that.

Fulton, Grimes and Ntcham apparently…

Martin made a comment about a contract clause which is dictating timing of recall ie sooner rather than later. What do we reckon this is all about?

Hmmm. Maybe a clause in the loan contract that although we had the option of recalling him in January, it had to be early in the window to allow Argyle time to find a replacement?

I find that quite plausible. Our owners think they have a saleable asset. They were lucky with Downes last year but they're struggling to find a large chunk of income from anyone in the current squad. They need to move quite a few who can attract any sort of fee.

The guy who posted the tweet has said in the comments he saw it elsewhere and was looking for some bites. So probably a fabrication by someone pretending they're 'in the know'.

The fella who made that up is replying to the tweet saying he was fishing for argyle fans bites.

Edit - sorry, someone had already pointed that out.

Strange hobbies some people have, making up stuff to fish for bites from anonymous people online.

Can Whittaker actually be sold then? He's already been registered with us and Plymouth this year?

Seems very strange, maybe there is a get out clause hidden away in all the League rules.

Let's hope the club knows all the in's and out's, and we don't get a player who can't move on sitting around with little game time.

As a business his transfer worth will get less.

Just done a Google

https://www.efl.com/-more/governance/efl-rules--regulations/efl-regulations/section-6---players/#:~:text=In%20accordance%20with%20FIFA%20Regulations,official%20matches%20for%20two%20clubs.

In accordance with FIFA Regulations a Player may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play in official matches for two clubs.

Edit

It's under Section 44.4

Plus Piroe, Ollie and Joey
Plus Cullen and Cunfle
Whittaker won't get a look in.
Regardless of where he has been playing for Plymouth, he has to prove himself again.
He won't get a look in.
I can see him going to Ipswich
