Would you like a receipt

It is a big deal though,, spending over 100 quid, and they say would you like a receipt, just to save on a little bit of paper, whilst shafting normal Joe Bloggs rights, straight up the bum.

I get asked everywhere I spend money if I'd like a receipt. Sometimes I say "Yes please", sometime I say "No thanks". If I use the self-checkout, the machines asks me if I would like a receipt. Sometimes I press the 'Yes' button and sometimes the 'No' button. Why is my life so much less complicated than yours?

Wait till he realises it’s not just Aldi.

Oh don't worry, I'm on the case. Iceland, Farm Foods and Home Bargains to name a few, same thing.

Lidl send you a receipt through their app. They also have a decent loyalty scheme, spend £250 in one calendar month and get 10% off your next shop (excluding alcohol).

I buy bananas from Lidl and they're really nice. :D

I'm not sure of your perception of things, but my post is all about spend over a hundred quid, full trolley, and you get asked would you like a receipt, for me common sense dictates that the question should not be asked.

If I'm wrong fair enough, but I know the average joe would agree with me. I will take the pepsi challenge anywhere, and I bet out in the real world, everyone would agree with me, come on Planet Swans, it's like nothing wrong with that. ha ha

Surely they ask you first whether or not you'd like them to send you a receipt via the app? It's the only courteous thing to do. :D

Thank you, I didn't know that. Well at least Lidls are pro active in saving the planet, unlike the ahem the aldi wankas, who would rather shaft the consumer, making them feel guilty for accepting a proof of purchase.

Occasionally I do spend over £100 but I'd guess about 8 times out of 10 I don't but it doesn't make any difference to me, I still say 'yes please' or 'no thanks' and does that mean I am not an average joe then? I told you, my life is far less complicated than yours and forever may it be so. :D

That's ok, have a little snipe at the end, and be happy. And just keep smiling.

For me personally, I would get a receipt every time, when getting a lot of items, I think so far this year been overcharged at least ten times, once for a rack of ribs, which was triple scanned, rather than twice. First thing you get asked, have you got a receipt?

Can you prove you just had just 2 racks of ribs and not 3? If anything the receipt you had, proved you had 3.

No, i couldn't. I did get a refund, but that's a good point, we came home checked the receipt and realised we had been overcharged, but I suppose the bottom line is, it's my word against the shops word..We never check the receipt leaving the premises, so if they turned around and said that, I guess we would be knackered.

So them wankas in Aldi took your word for it then...

See they aren't so bad after all :D

Actually it was the Farm Food wankas that overcharged at that particular time, not the Aldi wankas.
