I like Franco . He's done well for us. Yes he will make us a profit. Would clubs really risk £10m on him at this stage? Can't see that happening just now. Maybe after next season if he keeps improving.

When Wharton moved to Palace for £18 million up to £22 million, he only played 18 games for Blackburn, starting 12, in the previous season. His stats were good (7.07 on Fotmob) but not spectacular. What this shows is that if all the evaluation, video and data analysis and scouting, suggests a very good player, with excellent potential, then clubs are going to get in there early. They're not going to wait for the player's value to increase further. Franco may be seen in that light.

As above, Vital Swans, pretty consistently the only decent Swans ITK on Twitter. He's moved off it (fair enough) to host his own forum now, but he's got a very good record in recent years of being correct.

That being said, he can be a bit 'told you so', and not actually break news. More of a 'hearing we're announcing something in the next few hours', and then congratulate himself when the Swans announce someone later that day.

He's been a lot better than that since moving to his own forum though, and I'd recommend using checking his transfer window chat every few days.

So Delcroix was signed by Burnley August 2023 on a 3 yr contract. So he has 1 year left.

Now that they are promoted are they going to want to keep him and give him a new contract, not likely, or will they want to get back some of the 3m euros they paid for him

Using the amortization math they would want to cover the remaining 1m euros on selling him

So he is he worth around 800k plus. 12 appearances in Prem Lge. 12 in Championship with us.

We need a decent 3rd Center half regardless of whether Harry stays or goes.

Ricardo Santos on a free or Delcroix for 800k plus at 26 years of age. I know which one I would want.

I knew Blackburn were cheating bar stewards, but couldn't put my finger on it. Now it turns out they have a starting 12!!!
On Franco - we absolutely have to resist offers that are not transformational for our transfer work. Franco is game changer in the way he wins the ball and recycles it. Thinking we can pocket chump change and replace him with Fulton would be suicidal.

Absolutely YES!! At his age and with his attitude athleticism and quality it would be a steal IMO.

Not sure why some are getting twisted knickers over the likes of Franco and O Brien, and as for some of the valuations placed on them you’ve got to be having a laugh.
It seems that some peoples formula is based on …if so and so went for x amount then our players have to be worth x times two.

There is no player currently in our squad that is remotely irreplaceable, don’t forget for two thirds of the season we’ve been flirting with relegation, if other clubs want to bid for players who have been about average for most of the season ( in my opinion) then crack on.

Franco. No truth in Portugal story but there will be interest in him over the summer from many admirers.

Santos. No bid. No contact. He is on a list but way down it. And if brought in is seen as a Cyrus Christie replacement.

Wasn't impressed by Delcroix but you put a very strong argument on this and it's a think. Don't get me wrong, I would want players who are better and don't want to settle, but if money is right then a fair back up he is.
