• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Will be a very very interesting formation
Rotation definitely a big consideration here
At least after Sunday we get a week before the next game

I get dropping Vipotnik to the bench if Idah or Cullen are available. I also understand not playing a raw Wales from the start. I don't understand dropping Vip if that means we have to play without a striker.

That's 3 managers in a row that don't seem to believe Vip can start multiple matches in a row, which is a concern.

Still predicting a win today, but it feels like scoring the first goal is going to be vital. We struggle to score many anyway and that starting 11 doesn't scream goals galore.

Edit to say: Looking at the positives, that is a potential game-changing bench. Not something we can often say.

Matos thinking will be to keep it 0-0 untill the 60th minute then get Galbraith and Vip (for Stamenic and Inoussa/Widell is my guess) on to try and win it.

Whether we can keep it a close game until the 60th minute is different case. A point and i am happy.

This is where the poor and thin squad really hurts. No second RB. A reserve winger he won’t use /is probably going back. A backup striker we won’t use. We’ve got to get better at recruitment. To hear the owner say they want a quiet Jan shows to me they have no idea how many upgrades we need. Maybe Matos is making a point?
To be fair. Matos has Wales and Parker at his disposal. And would rather use Key who has been terrible and Inoussa as a striker?? I understand your point, but let's hope and I really mean this he proves us all wrong.

Surprised nobody has commented that vipotnik is on the bench to protect his potential move away this window 😉

WBA have prepared for a very different looking Swansea side, their manager is thinking what the f*ck! All my plans are doomed. 😉
I think everyone was prepared for a different Swansea side than this

It's not a bold lineup out of choice its based purely on the fact that players couldn't physicaly move after the game on Monday. We had to rotate.
Just hope with Matos high pressing game that the team doesn't completely run out of steam two thirds into the season, and have nothing left in the tank for the final 10 games.

The reality of Matos' style is that we're going to see a lot of disappointing rotation as it's so demanding of the players' fitness. Somewhat surprised with Galbraith, but Vipotnik is leading the press and isn't the most nimble of athletes, it makes sense for him to drop.
