Unless we get someone in to help MArtin arrange the defence, we will be bang in trouble this season. Plenty of positives from tonight, but we can't defend for toffee for the most part. Even the Stoke comms were laughing about our goal kick routine.

Utter lack of bottle in this team.
Stems straight from the manager.

Lack of bottle? FFS what a pathetic comment.

If you offered a point before the game would you have taken it?

Look at the positives, we have unearthed another prospective star in oli, it looks like oba isn't going and we got a point away against a side who beat a side who beat us 3 nil.

Onwards and upwards 🦢👏

Lack of bottle sounds spot on to me, not just this game even...

So our Total possession based style is to wear out the oppo so they will be too tired to muster anything late on in the game. I'm not sure it's working Russ.

I don't understand RM's substitutions.

We took off Oli who was the best player on the pitch.

Piroe was clearly exhausted and made a number of tired passes in the last 15 minutes and we kept him on when we brought in two exciting attacking players on loan who are meant to be able to change the game.

Does someone need to tell RM that we can make 5 substitutions this season?

We as fans never know the reasons. He could have been finished (likely, as he’s not had much game time) or carrying a knock.

Still sh*te though. We remind me of when Ipswich went down easily a few years ago. They beat us 3-2 at the Liberty in one of their few wins, so could occasionally flatter to deceive but always had a mistake in them. They normally couldn’t see a game out either.

If we don’t capitalise when we’re on top and carry on defending like schoolboys, we’re fecked.

Equaliser was a direct result of Fisher making a hash of clearing the ball. Put Kyle under pressure and conceded a free kick. Fisher is a,liability.

1-0 up late on away from home, take off your best and tallest Defensive midfielder and the player who has caused them the most problems. ????

The goal kick thing has to be some kind of elaborate practical joke.

The routing must have come from outer space, was one of the comments they made

Frustrating result but a more encouraging performance. Enjoyed the game too.

Best summary. This and Millwall were pretty good. We missed better chances than them, but, and I think it’s a massive but, it was his moronic pre planned substitutions that stopped us getting 4 points and being pretty happy for my money. There was no need. We had the game by the scruff at the time, twice, despite our defence. I really don’t think he knows what he’s doing at all.

Stoke had 20 attempts at goal..... that is a lot. It was coming.

and only 4 on target, we had 5 so the amount of shots are really irrelevant

Sick to death of this. Its almost as if he is happy with losing games and shhit performances as long as we continue to play "his way". The substitute choices were trash as well. He's drilled this crap into players who can't handle it and it's a system and style of play which is flawed.

This guy is a fraud

We mixed it up tonight, a lot more direct at times as shown by the goal. Ironically, when we needed his way of smothering possession to kill the game, we didn’t do it.

Let's be fair Stoke were utter dogshit tonight yet we still managed to drop 2 points. The line up and subs baffling again. When are we going to win a game.

Pre planned bollox, as was Fisher’s programmed fuckwittery. Martin has no feel for the game at all.

Giving some team ratings:

Fisher - An ill advised chip in the 89th minute gave Stoke the opportunity to get an equaliser. Problem is that he is coached to play that way, otherwise made a good save onto the bar and from the follow up in the 5th minute - 6
Sorinola - His best performance of the season by far, his deliveries were top notch and was unlucky to only get a single assist. Clearly tired and booked so not surprised to see him subbed - 7
Wood - Refused to be bullied, battled and won just about everything. Like Sorinola I think it was his best performance of the season - 7
Naughton - Played the sweeper role well and gave his usual steady performance. Switched to right back and got bullied in the air for the equaliser - 7
Darling - Great distribution, some cracking sprayed balls out to Sorinola for him to take advantage of the space he was given - 7
Manning - Fairly quiet but steady I thought. Didn't do enough to close down crosses at the end which invited pressure though - 6
Grimes - Always available but there were several times when he killed the momentum of an attack to play a safe back backwards to a defender. Can be better than he is showing - 6
Allen - Battled for everything, fantastic at recycling possession and moving from defence to attack quickly. Grimes can learn a lot from him in my opinion - 7
Fulton - Linked well without ever really being dangerous himself. Still one of his better performances before he got subbed - 6
Cooper - My man of the match. He was everywhere, he committed and beat players, made the right passes and unlucky not to get a goal himself - 8
Piroe - Showed the folly of playing him in attacking midfield with his one touch finish for the goal. With a tiny bit of luck could have had three or four. Clearly tired in the last quarter of an hour - 7

Ntcham - Brought on after 70 mins for Fulton, never really brought anything to the game and contributed to losing the momentum that saw us being comfortable - 5
Paterson - Came on for Cooper. We never really gave him the ball for him to use his delivery to hurt Stoke, didn't have the energy and battling of Cooper but thats not his game - 6
Obafemi - Came on for Sorinola. His touch was poor this game and never really got into it - 5

Martin - His substitutions handed momentum of the game to Stoke when we were looking dangerous, taking off the best player on the pitch and leaving an exhausted striker on the field when we had attacking options to replace him. Must take responsibility for dropping the points - 3

Yes lets look at this game in isolation and ignore the fact that we have let a two goal lead slip twice this season and two three goal leads at the end of last season.

That's not to mention the games like Luton where we have conceded once and completely folded.
