Poor fayre, just hope Stoke can be just as toothless 2nd half.

Poor? From us? Seriously? I only saw half an hour but apart from a bit of nutterball I thought we were assured, threatening and 1000 times more incisive than I expected.

We looked all over the place for the first ten minutes and even though we scored early we could easily have been 2-0 down by then. Ridiculous I know! We've been really good since then though, Piroe looks much more comfortable up top and Ollie Cooper's playing well. We still look dodgy as hell at the back though so going to need a second to win it I think.

Oh I agree. I wouldn’t be surprised if we bury ourselves second half. Glad I missed the trauma of the first 15 then.

You'll be there, with the rest of us.

You're right Monny, I'm watching it on my phone and I need to eat a big slice of humble pie. We're playing pretty well. Stoke are the home side and have to attack, which is leaving us plenty of space behind for us to exploit. They're also pretty shyte at the moment, which is a bonus. They're going to get a rollocking at half time, so the second half will be tougher.
Sorinola is playing much better, starting from a low base, mind. Cooper is also very lively and just missed a goal of the season contender with an overhead volley from the edge of the area.
We did our best to give them a goal with one of our goalkick feck ups around the 35min mark, but Stoke turned down the generous gift.
An intriguing match so far, will our lack of mental strength let us down again? If Russell has any sense, he'll bring Oba on quite early to give them something else to worry about..

If Russell has any sense. That made me laugh. Nice one.

I can understand wanting to accommodate both Obafemi and Piroe when they were both in spectacular form, but Piroe in attacking midfield is 70% of the player he is when played up top. We could perfectly well have played two up top and and 5-3-2 rather than 5-2-2-1 and gotten the best of both of them.

If we could eliminate the suicidal defending and play people in their proper positions we would have a decent season, that is two big ifs though.

Two poor sides imho

Clever corner routine ends in a Grimes shot blocked and another decent effort from Oli.

Clowns at the back. It NEVER leads to any benefit for us, but always gives some form of benefit to the opposition.

I feel like people would be far more accommodating of Martin if he didn't insist on playing 2 on 1 in our own six yard box.
