They’re in mess with these short passes with goalkeeper Where are they from , never seen anything like it. Co commentator- “ Outer space?” 😂😂😂
They create nothing for us but plenty of chances for the oppo. Anyone else notice?

The most threatening we've looked all season according to Curt - not a high bar though to be fair.

Piroe's sharpness in the box shows the madness of playing him in midfield

The formation change makes a big difference in the attacking third. Shame we haven't ditched this 6 yard box suicide passing

Half time analyis:

Cons:
Madness at the back saw us give up nine shots in ten minutes but we managed to survive
Some mixups at the back nearly cost us but we got away with it

Pros:
Piroe playing in his right position looks like the player we know he is, one goal, one great save from the keeper and with a bit more luck could have had a hat trick
Oli has looked great, plenty of graft, the right decisions and has been good in attack and defence
Sorinola's best game so far by a mile, four great crosses, one assist and the fast throw in to Fulton almost saw a second goal for Piroe

I reckon we will likely see Cundle or Okoflex after 60-70 mins for Fulton or Cooper (or both) - looking forward to seeing what they are all about. Both are meant to be exciting attacking players

Better up front, but my nerves won't stand many more of Fisher's suicidal passes out. Martin obviously can't see it, even Stevie Wonder would see how crazy it is!

Looking forward, getting men forward. Apart from the Grimester, all passing forward into space. That one when Sorinola was away and Grimes went backwards nearly got my boot through the telly, as did the to me to you shit when he lost it 30 yards from our goal when before that, we had them on the back foot. Other than that, like it. Just cut out the only bit of Martinball left apart from Statty Grimes, the suicide.

Given the fact that playing it out from the back from goal kicks is our MO it seems reasonable to assume we practice it in training. That being the case, how can we be so fecking awful at it?!

Yeah I know the moment you are talking about, Manning won it and threaded it past three players into midfield to Grimes with no player within 20 yards of him. Instead of driving forward or passing to Sorinola in acres of space he went backwards to Wood and killed off a fantastic opportunity.

Poor fayre, just hope Stoke can be just as toothless 2nd half.

Poor? From us? Seriously? I only saw half an hour but apart from a bit of nutterball I thought we were assured, threatening and 1000 times more incisive than I expected.

I can't motivate myself to go watch the internet, I know what's coming. FFS.

You'll be there, with the rest of us.

You're right Monny, I'm watching it on my phone and I need to eat a big slice of humble pie. We're playing pretty well. Stoke are the home side and have to attack, which is leaving us plenty of space behind for us to exploit. They're also pretty shyte at the moment, which is a bonus. They're going to get a rollocking at half time, so the second half will be tougher.
Sorinola is playing much better, starting from a low base, mind. Cooper is also very lively and just missed a goal of the season contender with an overhead volley from the edge of the area.
We did our best to give them a goal with one of our goalkick feck ups around the 35min mark, but Stoke turned down the generous gift.
An intriguing match so far, will our lack of mental strength let us down again? If Russell has any sense, he'll bring Oba on quite early to give them something else to worry about..
