That Obafemi miss though 🤦

Oh my stream had gone. I saw the Paterson save and the Manning inability to just welly it from 6 yards, but my stream went. Was it a bad one?

Literally unbelievable. I have no idea how he missed.

Cracking break on the left as well.

Take our gilt-edged chances and we win that by a canter.
We played well overall, as long as Obafemi doesn't make this a trend I'd be happy with a repeat performance next weekend.

First game of the season, a lot of points still on offer. Whilst it’s disappointing to drop 2 points, it isn’t the end of the world. Look at forest last year, bottom of the league but still managed to go up. Let’s be positive.

Still need to up the tempo but lovely goal from Darling. They are very physical and closing us down. Looking for perfect goal instead of gambling. Game is there to be won but need to be more precise and clinical with our passing. Sun out now😀 Good support but quiet and nervous between the goals
Good example of where we should have upped the tempo was when their lad fell over when they had about 6 players breaking in our half, we won the ball back and instead of looking to knock a ball up to Oba, we played about 20 passes in an area about 10 yards square and waited for all their players to get back into their shape. What happened to counter attacking?

Exactly what I said at the game. A player down and other players out of position and we should have gone at them.

Back home and some time to reflect.

Without repeating much that has already been said.

It did seem less heart stopping moments in defence.

Fisher had a good game as did Darling and Wood.

Piroe and Obafemi both had off days.

Paterson continues to try and do too much himself. Please look up and see the pass.

Martin. One sub unused, there were players who looked tired and a fresh pair of legs was needed towards the end.

The ref - yellows for us, but only one at the end for Rotherham who were at times over physical

Maybe a draw was fair, but if that miss by Obafemi (How) would have gone in I do think we would have gone on to win comfortably

Actually 3 subs unused as you can use 5 now.

You just had too didn't you. ;)

That makes it even worse .

Saturday home to Blackbun will tell us more as to where we are heading this next 10 months than today.
Will Russ finally push the process button 🙌

Just one last comment.

There was a group of about 5 not far from us giving their keeper 'Johnson' abuse most of the second half

His name is Johansson. :D

They were near us, they were embarrassing as well as annoying.

Not sure Piroe and Obafemi had off days as such, I think Paul Warne and his team had done their homework on the clear threat of those two and made sure they were marked well and very physically then closed them down in packs anywhere around their edge of their box so they had no space to work in. Piroe's role allowed him to go deeper to get away from his markers but this left Obafemi being marked out of the game for most of it. They knew they had to contain them or they'd get stuffed. They should have been stuffed anyway tbh. :(

Oba was shocking I thought, looked rusty.

Piroe looked good on the ball but was marshalled pretty well.

Just got back, have to say I thought we did ok, did anybody notice that they’d made the pitch smaller, both touch lines had been brought in along with the goal lines.

Darling looked good, could easily be our next big money maker if he continues his progress.

I can agree that some was down to Warne but everything seemed to bounce off Obafemi and was a bit headless chicken. Piroe did have his moments, but overall I do think his decision making was below par.
