As much as I said you could argue each manager we appoint is worse than the last, that goes hand in hand with the argument that each manager is handed an inferior squad thanks to our poor recruitment. Not sure it would be 'Williams supporters' as such, but there will be people who see the quality of the squad provided to him and the general mismanagement of the club over the past few years as more of a factor in our malaise than he personally is.
I think that's all the difference is. I don't think there are many out there thinking he's the next big thing in management.
I think if and when he gets fired, the reaction from 95% of the fans will be a mixture of 'good' and 'meh' and only a handful of 'oh no!'
Exsactly. We can't sack the owner. We cant get rid of the whole team. So a manger will at least hopefully help. It has too. I have written many times on this forum, but my feeling is if he hasn't gone today or if we lose on Saturday. And he doesn't go. Then we are stuck with him.As much as I said you could argue each manager we appoint is worse than the last, that goes hand in hand with the argument that each manager is handed an inferior squad thanks to our poor recruitment.
We can't sack the owners or sell all the players though, so the manager carries the can. I do think the likes of Ronald, EOM and Vipotnik deserve a chance to play under a manager who at least plays them in a way that could suit them better. There's a good chance things just continue to decline though, unless we hit on the right manager.
