Nah, bollocks to Labour, I've had an absolute titful of drakeford and his gimps ruining wales, and I see nothing in the bigger Uk picture, that keir starmer and his motley crew will do any different.

If we’re going to treat devolution seriously then we need to judge it differently.

I’d never vote for Drakeford and his rag bag either. Hopeless.

But labour at a UK level are a different prospect. We need to start voting with intelligence like the Scots do.

This is a very difficult argument in wales though as unless you vote labour everytime you’re evil.

Well yeah, how the hell can you have a factual explanation for a hunch/funny feeling.

What are you saying, you have to explain yourself over a funny feeling? ha ha, I would suggest do a google of what a funny feeling in the English Dictionary refers to, it certainly does not need a factual explanation after using those words.

You said: "I really think it will be out of the frying pan into the fire, with this current labour lot." so where is the bit about 'a funny feeling'?

You said it was what you "really think" so I'd foolishly assumed that meant it was what you really think which I'm sure most would agree, sounds a lot more than having a funny feeling.

Which IMHO, is the same as saying 'I have a funny feeling' surely you must have known exactly what I meant, I just think you are trying to be clever now, that's ok, but you are wasting your time tonight pal..

All I can say is, try harder next time, and ferk labour, I have had enough of drakeford and his goons, to even contemplate them for UK wide.

If it's just a funny feeling, maybe a few facts will make a difference. Labour were in power for 13 years 1997 to 2010. This is a list of 50 things they did or introduced during that time, all of which are verifiable and most of which benefited working class families:

Yes but apart from all that, what have the Romans done for us? :D

And to can add the Freedom of Information Act to that. The FOI Act is in my opinion one of the most important pieces of legislation that has been introduced in the U.K. in many many years because it’s enabled the people to gain access to information which we’ve been able to use to shine a light on skullduggery and hold others to account, one such example being MP’s expenses.

Not all will welcome the Human Rights Act, but on balance that’s a pretty impressive list of achievements.

But the Tories got Brexit done. Well not exactly. Wasn’t quite oven ready. Some Tories have apparently stopped the country from taking full advantage of Brexit. Meanwhile in the real world…..

Without praising Drakeford too much , added to the fact I did not vote for Devolution or WAG back in the day .

I now have a bus pass and free prescriptions , after the impossible task of seeing an actual Doctor , thankfully my visits to local primary care clinic are few and far .

In reality I believe Wales has gone backward over the last 20 plus years , good and secure jobs overtaken a by short term fix .

Wonder how Amazon , a Univeral Company ended up in Jersey Marine too .

I hadn't noticed the omission of the FOI which, as you say, is extremely important and well spotted. I didn't compile the above list but knew where to find it for reference but it does say at the top of the original that they were just 50 plucked as examples from a longer list. 👍

I haven't lived in Wales since 1973 so I have no basis on which to disbelieve you when you say it has gone backwards over the last 20 years. What I do know though is that between 2014 and 2020, the UK received £15 billion of funding from the EU via the European Structural & Investment fund, of which Wales received about £2.8 billion which was about 4 times the UK average on a per capita basis. Since Brexit, that funding has unfortunately ceased so any recent perceived decline in Wales is unlikely to have slowed down.

It would be interesting to find out how much of the 2.8 billion has found its way outside of Cardiff Bay...

I was working in Cardiff today and the skyline is approximately 25 years old. It is emblematic of how the pilot scheme has gone horribly wrong for the rest of Wales.
