Braver than the shithouses we had patrolling Mayhill.

Thanked by mistake.

You have no idea saint, I suspect there will have been plenty of bobbies champing at the bit to get at the scumbags who caused all the damage, it's the people at the top you need to be venting your anger at, the ones who have cut police numbers and the ones who wouldn't commit officers

Beg to differ buddy, officers seen standing back not wanting to know last week. They'll only get involved if the numbers in their favour.

Speaking as someone who has the greatest respect for the job the police do, all of our emergency services for that matter, there can be no excuse for the police holding back last week, they take the job on knowing that at some point they will have to put thier necks on the line, for whatever reason, this didn't happen.
An inquiry needs to be held, and, if wrong decisions were made, heads must roll.

You honestly think that those police officers on the ground thought "Fck that, I don't fancy it"?

They were following orders.

I said it last week. The second they’d have steamed in the phones would be out filming and the next thing you know they’d have been upstairs in front of the Chief Constable.
I blame pricks like that Controversial Jack wánker myself.

Very good, could have ended very differently, well done that man

What has that got to do with police officers taking orders from their superiors?

Absolutely, they've got the hardest job in the world these days. Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

And bloody right so, as we all could see there wasn't many police there but quite a few bellend rioting, they would have been battered, the problem lies with lack of police on the ground.
