Bellamy indeed demands the ball goes forward at pace, all the more puzzling the link with Grimes.I suspect that Grimes playing under Bellamy is a very different proposition to Grimes under Martin/Williams. Bellamy is a guy who,
1. Demands that the ball goes forward.
2. Is happy to shout, and keep on shouting at those who don't listen.
3. Has a vocabulary that would make a CPO blush.
4. Has done it, so players can't say he doesn't know what he's talking about.
I would be very interested to see what Grimes could do when compelled to move the ball forward..
Given his Cardiff connection I used to call him Bellend, but given how he has Wales playing it's a respectful Bellamy these days.
Is Coventry part of Wales now?

Whenever I watch the U21's and other age group Welsh games we seem to have some decent talent coming through. It’s an odd one for sure. Less puzzling when you consider the best midfielder currently can only manage about 15 minutes for us and will be drawing his bus pass soon.
What’s happened to the pipeline? It seems to have collapsed.

Well he doesn’t qualify as a footballerMaybe he qualifies by residency
The problem with the pipeline is that the guys who have come out of it and shown class have moved themselves ASAP to other clubs. Net, it's not profitable business, and it doesn't make a team. It’s an odd one for sure. This in spades. With this, the Welsh Cup request recently, the attempt to get Merthyr into the Welsh league, who lit a fire under the ass of the FAW? They're being unusually contentious right now.The FAW could be about to shoot themselves in the foot with their pursuit of Grimes.
Any talent leaving Wales to join teams like Liverpool, Chelsea and so on could end representing England after they complete five years residency.
They weren't overly bothered when we had the likes of Britton and Angel plying their trade in the premier league, week in week out. This in spades. Qualifying on residency has always been shot down in the past and I hope it is again now.
It won't happen, but it would be interesting to see Grimes in this Wales team. The way Bellamy has them playing is all about fast transitions and it would prove whether Grimes can play that way when instructed to.
The players listed in that article who could have played for Wales if the rules had been different we Britton, Angel, Grimes, Joe Ralls. So two retired players and two who would get into the squad certainly, but hardly players who would transform the side. They weren't overly bothered when we had the likes of Britton and Angel plying their trade in the premier league, week in week out.
This lot at the FAW are going to ruin things....if this comes off it will backfire....under similar rules the likes of Bale would have qualified for England....but then we do have an Irish man running the showLooks like they're actually trying to make this happen. It was the Welsh cup and now this.
Also find the timing quite amusing. All happens after he's left us.
