The players listed in that article who could have played for Wales if the rules had been different we Britton, Angel, Grimes, Joe Ralls. So two retired players and two who would get into the squad certainly, but hardly players who would transform the side.

Meanwhile we risk losing the next Bale, Speed, Ramsey or Giggs to England. No thanks.
Doesn't make sense going after Grimes (bang average and not international quality in my opinion) and putting our international future at risk.

This lot at the FAW are going to ruin things....if this comes off it will backfire....under similar rules the likes of Bale would have qualified for England....but then we do have an Irish man running the show
It's like this Welsh cup thing. They haven't really thought it through.

Hallelujah 🙏

Wales admit defeat over eligibility change idea - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cz9e8gdvz89o
Common sense prevails.

On the eligibility attempt, Mooney added on social media: "You will see we will keep exploring ways to be better or grow our game."

Try investing more money in grass roots football and developing talent from a young age rather than waste money on these bat shit crazy ideas like adopting Grimes and that Welsh cup nonsense.

I'd rather lose with eleven Welshmen that win with half a team of mercenaries, same goes for rugby, or anything for that matter.

I see where you're going with this.
How about all players must be born within 30 miles of the stadium. 😉
