"Gaza will soon be a city of tents"

The acts of Hamas are despicable and should rightly be universally condemned, the organizers should be sought out and punished and all effort should be done to get the hostages released in any way possible.

But the people of Gaza, who are condemned for having crowds cheering the attack, should not be butchered and murdered in revenge.

The people cheered no doubt because someone was doing something about their plight, fighting on their side, not thinking of how they will be the ones to pay.

The Western media is in full swing, painting all Palestinians as monsters and deserving of the retribution about to be cast on them, all while ignoring as usual the continuous actions against them by the Israeli institution.

I always get angry by people being called anti-sematic for opposing the Israeli governments actions and the continuous forced relocations of what remains of the Palestinian people, whose Country was stolen and the World remained silent over guilt for what happened during the holocaust. The people of Gaza especially are trapped in hell.

I was always taught as a kid, two wrongs don't make a right. The West will continue to ignore the reasons that the terrorists are created in the first place.

I don't know a great deal about the relationship between them all, but I agree with this post it seems very fair, I don't think many of the Israelian people think much of Netanyahu, but some of his actions could be suggested that he see's his actions as away of making himself more popular, but then again I don't know a great deal about his relationship with his people.

But this situation needs to be resolved rapidly, its likely to have dire consequences for the whole of the region Hamas leader saying things like he wants to get rid of the Jews and the Christians is dangerous talk and it'll be lapped up, buy many in the region.

We must be watching different Western media because the BBC can't even bring themselves to call Hamas as terrorists which they undoubtedly are.

However, if you rewrote your sentence as "The Western media is in full swing, painting all Hamas as monsters and deserving of the retribution about to be cast on them," then I would definitely agree.

In the interests of harmony on this thread, let's try to get some common ground.

The state of Palestine deserves to exist
The state of Israel also deserves to exist.
Israel is entitled to defend itself.
The murder of 1,000 + Israeli people by Hamas is a war crime.

Do we all agree on that?

I'm looking forward to reading the "Yes, but"s

However, please would everyone stop typing Palestine when they mean Hamas.

An excuse for Israel to launch a full scale invasion of Gaza, how convenient.

Proxy wars will follow and the only losers will be the poor fuckers on the ground.

I sympathize with ordinary Palestinians and their plight but I really don’t think that „excuse“ and „how convenient“ is appropriate. Conspiracy theory language worthy of a Trump supporter. The reality is that the actions by Hamas at the weekend were absolutely vile and should be called out by any right minded person.

Great post.

Absolutely condemn the actions of Hamas last weekend, but to add some perspective...

When GB handed over its mandate to rule/govern Palestine in 1948 I'm pretty certain this was not the outcome that was planned or desired. The Arabs, Jews and Christians welcomed GB in to Jerusalem as the Ottoman empire was defeated. There seemed hope for the area. WTF changed after 1948

It’s not the BBC’s job to call Hamas terrorists. They point out every time they report in it that the UK and other countries recognise it is a terrorist organisation. The BBC can’t win - right says they’re left, left says they’re right. Their whole premise is impartiality which on the whole they do very well. A news cameraman got chased off by a looney mob at Stradey the other day, just a staff guy who was there to report on a good news story for the local community. People need to get a grip of themselves and if they can’t look at various news outlets without losing cognitive function maybe they should steer clear of the news altogether.

Not sure they ‘handed over’, more ran away from the problem, which can be argued they were instrumental in creating….. but then if you go down that route how far do you go back and who can’t be blamed. Personally I’ve always had sympathy for modern day Palestinians there’s no doubt to me that Israel and Palestine both exist historically and geographically and there’s only one way to sort this out and it isn’t war. Unfortunately now war has to happen, people have to die, and a solution gets further and further away.

WTF has Donald Trump got to do with anything?

Any right minded person can understand that both sides have been gagging for this and are as vile as one another, and the best thing to do would be to stick them all on a boat in the most remote part of the ocean and put a missile through it.

And anyone who says Mossad couldn't see anything coming in time to stop it is living in cuckoo land.

This guy dropped a bollock

So now you’re suggesting that Mossad sanctioned the disgusting atrocities that took place. Sick mate. Sick.

Engage your brain and put the strawman shtick down.

Nothing moves in the Middle East without Mossad either knowing about it or being the ones to make it move in the first place.
