I can only reply to what you say, as in a news cameraman got chased off by a looney mob at stradey, just a staff guy who was there to report on a good news story, and that people need to get a grip of themselves, so I read what you say, as those people had no right to do what they did, and I point out the reason more than likely why they showed such anger towards journalist..? But it's a form of twattery? So was there some sort of cryptic clue as to wtf you are on about. hidden in that first message you posted?

The acts of Hamas are despicable and should rightly be universally condemned, the organizers should be sought out and punished and all effort should be done to get the hostages released in any way possible.

But the people of Gaza, who are condemned for having crowds cheering the attack, should not be butchered and murdered in revenge.

The people cheered no doubt because someone was doing something about their plight, fighting on their side, not thinking of how they will be the ones to pay.

The Western media is in full swing, painting all Palestinians as monsters and deserving of the retribution about to be cast on them, all while ignoring as usual the continuous actions against them by the Israeli institution.

I always get angry by people being called anti-sematic for opposing the Israeli governments actions and the continuous forced relocations of what remains of the Palestinian people, whose Country was stolen and the World remained silent over guilt for what happened during the holocaust. The people of Gaza especially are trapped in hell.

I was always taught as a kid, two wrongs don't make a right. The West will continue to ignore the reasons that the terrorists are created in the first place.

Excellent post. Hamas are a vile organisation- but they haven’t always been around, only since Israel virtually sidelined Fatah and the PLO in the late 1980’s. Fatal and the Palestine Liberation Organisation were much more political in the way they appealed to the world about the aggressiveness of the land grabs. The people lost their voice and looked to more militant and direct action against the Israelis (and Hamas was born).

Few people probably realise today that post Balfour declaration the Arabs warmly welcomed the Jewish people when they stated to arrive there in the early 20th century.

Fast forward to today I wonder if those now long dead from that time envisioned Gaza being an open air prison where the Israelis put their grandchildren after dispossessing them of their lands? It’s a fair question.

Now I can almost sense glee in the Israeli political ranks as it’s apparent this is the excuse they craved to flatten Gaza and push the population into Egypt (they are warming Palestinians to leave Northern Gaza for the South - pushing them towards the border (and bombing the convoys as they are travelling!). And that is exactly what is happening.

For the record I dont believe that Hamas “took babies from wombs and beheaded them” as some complete idiot stated on the right wing site. As human beings living in an age of instant news and disinformation we have a duty to take a breath and judge these stories only when the evidence is clear and independently verified.

I remember a similar line coming out of Ukraine - that Russian soldiers had raped children which of course outraged the world but was completely untrue - even admitted by the Ukraine foreign ministry as a fabrication that did their cause harm. We’ve seen these kinds of hyperbolic claims since the Iraq war (remember the WMD’s that never existed?).

If Gaza’s elderly residents and helpless children are murdered by the IDF it is a worse crime than what the sickos of Hamas did. Israel is a heavily armed and militarised state funded massively by the west - the Palestinian civil population are completely at their “mercy”. Two wrongs will never make a right but the way this indiscriminate bombing is going could result in a hundred thousand dead Palestinians- the vast majority will never have handled a weapon in their lives.

The world needs to band together and stop this NOW - before WW3 starts in earnest. The Hewish people all over the world need to be protected from antisemitism - the rest of the political world needs Israelis and Arabs to peacefully coexist - it just lacks the political will and courage to make it happen.
