January Transfer Rumours

Not just the media. Plenty of our supporters believe it too. Believe that we're somehow a special case, a club held in high regard because of the way we play. And some people think Cardiff are the only arrogant ones...

I'd settle for 55% possession and only 75% completed passes if it meant a bit of excitement on the pitch. Grimes racking up 90%+ completion of passes that don't create anything and that opponents deal with easily isn't going to cut it any more.
It's almost if some of our players (Grimes) are more interested in the stats than they are the actual scoreline.

I genuinely don't think he is. But his coaches, as a general rule, haven't discouraged him from racking up the numbers because they're of the opinion that those numbers matter.

Some of our entitled, spoiled fans need to re-calibrate their lofty expectations, aye.

When on earth do we shop in Marks Expensive ?

Our new owners have already broken our transfer spend in the league and are in the throes of continuing to unearth some proper gems through our new leading edge global sourcing model, like the good 'ol days.

The biggest bestest decision this window, right now is to unearth a proper manager to get the very best out of our richly assembled and U21 talented resources. And sink the sunk cost that is fraud Williams.

The boys can deliver. They have shown what they can do without the slippery, follicly challenged, flaccid Willy.

I swear there are people out there in our fanbase convinced that the way we play is the only way to play passing football. The bloke in front of me at the stadium seemed to think that we had no option other than to tediously recycle possession from flank to flank because "That's how we play" during the WBA game.

We had a robust debate.

We've been dull as ditchwater to watch for probably not far off a decade now. Starting with Monk's vandalism in the Prem. There have been vague flashes of improvement here and there in the interim, but probably since Cooper it's been almost wall to wall tedium.
Potter had us playing well, but we were always a stepping stone for him & it was never going to last.

In fairness when Brighton came calling Potter looked to the board for assurances over the squad. Instead he got McBurnie and James being sold with hardly any of the 40m or so generated being reinvested

I mean, lets be fair, he was gone as soon as they came knocking regardless of the lack of reinvestment.

Can't and don't blame him for it and he did provides some stability whilst he was here

The £40m was invested, it was spent on the hangover from the Premier League. This isn’t what folk would like to read, but it’s the harsh reality.

What gems has this model unearthed?

As mentioned previously Wycombe manager is 99% for the Luton job, I can see us missing out on Low who will join him there in my opinion.

First test for this new ownership group and they're coming up short already.
2 low ball offers for a target to improve an area that we're desperately lacking in.
Not a good start.
