• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

O'Brien IN
Delcroix IN

Abdullai OUT
Grimes OUT
Abbey OUT

We need another body in through the door, or all they've done is pull their usual trick again of weakening the squad on the QT.

I agree, our sole attacking plan is to constantly put aerial crosses into the box (and our left back is the only one who can consistently do this). But we're trying pick out 2 small forwards who's strengths aren't heading the ball. We do desperately need some attacking threat down the middle to occasionally out a through ball in (remember them!?) Or God forbid have a long range shot.

It’s bizarre isn’t it? The ball that works is a cut back for Cullen (forget Bianchini, he’s not getting onto a high cross either). We’ve done it a few times and it’s worked. Yet we still have wingers and/or wing backs over-hitting a high ball to the back post (or not beating the first man but aiming for a higher ball). Aaarrrgggghhhh!!

So what has happened so far?

We were playing quite well 7 games ago (it seems like a few seasons ago) and then got in to some kind of rut. We have sold our marmite and signed a loan who may be a better option. Darling (if not sold because of the contract thing) is back so we need to sign some motivating fucking mogal and get us back on the winning trail. Our players have not become bad ones so the reality is that marmite has gone and we have a temporary replacement.

Up until selling Grimes I don’t think a lot happened on the pitch. We’ve struggled to create all season and we’ve been making defensive mistakes all season. That all came together for a few games.

Something’s happened behind the scenes though. I thought Williams’ links to WBA was a load of bollocks (why the hell would they want him?). But that seems to have been more disruptive that I’d have thought.

Having chosen so many Incapable Spanish style strikers back in the day, then having a delivery of Gykores from Graham Potter the Brighton manager, lets just not go on strikers, we just dont do them or goalscorers! Whyever so worried sheep, we know who we are, and maintain our loud. Proud and positive status for just another year.

Thumbs up for the first part. Extremely rose tinted to say we were playing well up to 7 games in my opinion.

in your opinion of course, but we certainly competed against the top three which we were not even close to last season. We are not worse than than those further down the league so we were playing well enough but it has fallen apart and our performances are not even close anymore

In my opinion of course. Likewise, playing well is subjective. I would say we've played terribly of recent and average to bad before. Again, yes, my opinion. Some will agree, others won't. Which is fine.
