Martin holds the exit door open for Obafemi and Paterson

Why would Burnley want Obafemi? They’re in a different situation now than the one they were in the summer. They’re preparing for the Premier League now.

Cat amongst the pigeons time: (been holding this Fact back, for obvious reasons. A few notables here and elsewhere can corroborate) :-

Both Oba and Pato were penned in the starting 11 for the Watford game. Fact.

Martin then ditched them last minute in a way OTT punishment for minor misdemeanour. Pato went AWOL, understandably.  The players responded with a massive showing of support for their teammates against a poor Watford.

Martin's back is firmly against the wall right now. He's been throwing his toys out - at our players, officials, the Reading GK thing was so too tw*tish.......

Let's hope player power prevails and we see Pato and Oba back where they belong.

So, it turns out the 'minor 'misdemeanours' were being slightly late for pre-training. Not actual training, even.

Martin flipped, lost the plot and ditched them for 3 games. Way way OTT reaction. Embarrassing, toys out of the pram stuff, by all (impeccably sourced)accounts.

He ditched them both despite being selected for Watford. Another watershed along Martin's journey of losing the dressing room. Big time.

I've never known such a mis-managing, maudlin mediocre manager. He out-monks Monk; he's right down there with Bobley for so many gaffes and fack-ups. He's ruining our players, their belief, our belief, our reputation, our chances of any decent >15 level.

He ticks so many sackable boxes right now...........

latest update (now confirmed by other sources):

- Oko-Flex fell foul of the same minor infraction.

So, not only did Oko-Flex get binned for being too pacey down the flank, he also got binned for being a little bit late for the pre-training Martin BS monologue fest.

Martin is such the proper wrong 'un for our proper club.

Got binned for being too pacey yet our top target for this window is Ogbene who’s got plenty of pace?

As a professional footballer your job is to turn up on time and do your job without issues, if players can’t set an alarm and be punctual and 100% committed then that’s not the managers fault.

Oba's had a word. Ogbene ain't wanting to come here as his first choice. Fact.

Trust me. Martin ain't the popular choice right now, from so many perspectives.

As a professional manager, his job is to get the very best out of his 'limited' resources. Without the ongoing issues of mis-management and massive player discontent. A basic requirement, at any level.

What's your thoughts on why Oko didn't work out here ? Give it some thought.

Fair play you are Martin's biggest fan.

It is something to do with the manager of the players .
It is down to him to ensure that there are measures in place to ensure they do turn up for training on time and to install in the players a desire to work hard in training because if they become better players then their next club will be bigger better etc and they will have @ more lucrative deal . Sulking and refusing to play isn’t the way although I can’t see how Whittaker can feel anything less than dirt after his treatment ever since Mr Martin passed his job interview .

Mr Martin seems very unlucky to have had a string of unruly ,troublesome ,sulky, tardy players to content with whilst he himself is doing all he can to ensure his process comes to a glorious conclusion .

.

Hearing that Paterson is firing on all cylinders to get that Pato-Piroe party bouncing again. Regardless of Martin's gross mis-management. Fair play.

He could well be the dream signing some proper fans are craving.

Let's hope he doesn't read some of the guff and bile posted in some places, by not so proper fans.

Doubtful though isn't it?

He's been pretty dire for over a year now since his last strop, has a history of injuries and is a year older than the last time he had a semblance of form.

Besides that, how has Martin mismanaged him then? Martin tried to cover for him during his last hissy fit. And that was down to the people at the club who negotiate contracts, not Martin.

So what's your narrative for this latest spell out of the team? Martin deliberately dropping him for no reason? For what purpose?

Isn't it more likely he's been acting the goat again in cahoots with his mate who's also pouting and they've been rightfully dropped for their unprofessional behaviour?

Chief, you're focusing your skills in the wrong places, mun.

For the record, again, Pato was slightly late for the Martin monologue, pre training waffle-speak, some weeks ago.

Immature maudlin mis-manager Martin lost the plot and 'punished' him 3-4 games. Martin's back was against the wall, with a dressing room leader challenging him.....and he fecked it up, for the sake of his own ego. The team paid the price. The fans paid the price of Martin's mis-management. Yet again.

So Chief, every time you dig deep the facts become more compelling against Martin.

Keep on digging, or best look for solutions, be that agent for change......

I can confirm that Martin did drop him for being very slightly late to a pre match get together. Same for Obafemi and Oko Flex was also binned for a similar thing.

The problem with Martin is if he doesn’t like you or you do something he doesn’t like, then you are absolutely shunned in all aspects of Swansea. He’s extremely stubborn and terrible man manager.

Martin has now dropped multiple players and ignored their existence. This isn’t a Pato issue.

How late is 'slightly late'?

I'd be amazed if he dropped them, weakening the team and costing us results for them turning up for example 5 minutes late.

I doubt Martin liked what Paterson did last year, but he was let back, as was Obafemi after his little tantrum. So they weren't completely shunned then?

So Paterson was late (presumably one of just a few that were), but Martin is the immature one? Are being late to meetings the actions of a dressing room leader?

What would someone like Joe Allen make of the situation should say Paterson have not gone unpunished? The likes of Ollie Cooper who should look up to Paterson evidently hasn't been affected by this. He's performing well?

You can't let players get away with breaking the rules, you've got to set an example. What you'd then call mis-managing 1 player is actually good management for the squad as a whole.

I'd be amazed that being just slightly late is the reason for this. Must be far more to it. Martin's got nothing to gain by dropping them for that. Especially as in the past we know Martin has gone to bat for Paterson publicly.

Makes me laugh that people blame Martin for Obafemi etc when he’s been PUBLICLY criticised by his previous manager, as for players turning up late so they should be punished especially if it’s on a regular basis, they can’t set alarms and show up on time then that’s their problem, if Martin really was causing all this drama in the background there’s no way any club would keep the manager who’s disrupting the squad 100% fact, regardless if you like him or not to say he’s causing issues with the playing staff is laughable.
