• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Martin must go tonight

Brendon may be available too!

And with £25m in his pocket apparently.

We should hire him on a tiny basic, with huge bonuses.

Or get a group together including him to buy the club.

Why would he come back here, serious question

It’s almost in the realms of science fiction these days but Rodgers returning would probably immediately reignite my lost passion for the Swans.

Funnily enough, I think he does actually have a genuine affection for the club and the city.

Plus it would be messiah type stuff. And he’s not averse to a bit of that.

Btw - I’d also love to see what Guidolin could do with this group. A massively underrated manager.

I’m sorry but this squad is not top half worthy. Bar a few players we are weak and extremely thinly stretched. Yes his system isn’t working but he’s had 0 financial support this summer…

Fair to many players not worth a quid let alone the money their earning here, Paterson is a f*****g joke for one, waste of spunk.

Stop wanking over him then.

There is no way back from this we are not just losing games but we are not even competing in them

This team may not be full of star performers but they are better than he is making them look

Yeah, it’ll be hard to turn this round. We look like a team heading for relegation to me. And we’re still in August.

What could have been if we’d snapped him up again when we could, eh? Massive balls up that was.

Sacking Martin achieves nothing on its own.

We've probably got a dozen Championship level players. The rest, not so much.

Sure, replace him with someone and you'll get a bounce. We'd undoubtedly be more competitive.

It doesn't matter in the medium to long term. Nobody could make a silk purse out of what the rest of the club is set up to give the manager.

Martin could really do with somebody who has the first clue about football to help him but also take some of the pressure off him. There isn't an experienced head amongst them and the footballing side is entirely divorced from the operational side.

I agree with you, the club needs an experienced coach who’s used to working with little or nothing. Not sure he’d agree to it after last time, but I’d defo give him the gig.

Absolutely! Really knew what he was doing. Was it against Everton his first game? His last was against Liverpool and we played well. His sacking was shameful and would disgust any self respecting Jack. The soccer specialists from the States who were going to take us to the next level had already decided on a bullshitter to take over whatever the outcome of that Liverpool game.
