• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Gary Neville is currently getting himself banned from old trafford for life.

I am enjoying it.......he is right though, and for the first time I can understand JG and agree with him.

There’s something not right for me about Neville and Carragher on Sky Sports ranting about greed etc. I agree with what they’re saying but they are paid obscene amounts of money by a company that started this greedy gravy train when the big clubs broke away from the Football League and formed the Premier League. Isn’t this just a natural progression from what they started 30 years ago?

Plus what exactly would anyone be playing for? Top 4 is meaningless. Whole competition becomes essentially glorified friendlies.

Uefa would still run their own competition presumably. Could be much more interesting than a boring CL semi-final involving two clubs owned by Arabs with dodgy human rights records.

They may well do.

But 6 teams in the PL would not be eligible. And wouldn’t care. So would play weakened teams. The whole league gets destroyed. All the money would go to the 6.

You’d have teams finishing below halfway qualifying for Europa league.

The whole league structure will be destroyed. And people don’t care? And can’t see how it affects us.

I know we all looked forward to playing at Old Trafford, Emirates etc. If we’re aiming for Turf Moor it’s hardly the same is it.

There’s no comparison. Greedy though the PL is, it never removed promotion and relegation. These clubs have signed up for 23 years of no relegation.

I’m amazed people can’t see it.

This is definitely a yank concept, this proposal is destroying dreams, look at Brentford, the opportunity to go and beat the great teams.. the swans have already done it, they're destroying millions of fans dreams.

I didn’t compare. I suggested that it started the gravy train and this is a natural progression.

This is 100 percent an American idea. No relegation = less risk investing. Amazon also heavily involved in this along with fsg etc. My work is based in the US and a few of my colleagues have said how much American investment has gone into this is crazy

Jamie Garragher?
Hope he's not spitting feathers, itll be another ban for him.

Cut the six loose immediately, impose bans on thier players representing thier countries, and, when the Americans get tired of it all and pull the plug, make them start at the bottom of the league pyramid.

Simples ✌
