It's the curse of the modern day football fan, they wan't instant success, also some people just enjoy being miserable.

I agree with the first part 100% but I would also say support can include being critical too, that’s part of the fun of being invested in a team. I personally wouldn’t define support as being blindly optimistic. I’d be attending games and watching us in league 2 if we were down there. I pay for my season ticket and contribute to the club financially, just because I might have more concern about us so far this season doesn’t mean I don’t support us. I’m not expecting instant success either, just signs that we are looking to be a bit more creative.

Thing is Im not even being critical. I'm just encouraging folks to think further ahead. Its a long season. 1 game doesnt make or break it. Win or loss or draw.

Take yourself as an example. The Blackburn game you weren’t going to watch the second half, I’m not going Saturday, blah blah.

That was tongue in cheek due to me turning the game off and us equalising immediately

Sheehan mentioned he played his first 90 minutes for us 2 games back and it was his first time since May I think with his last club and then did second half the other day. He came to us off a bad injury so getting up to speed
Galbriath being rested too as he has played alot of football.

With the League Cup run, the starters can not play every game so it was inevitable Sheehan would need to figure out how to rest players throughout the season. Probably smart to give Galbraith a breather as he is so important and we have midfielders and he can come on at right back too. Did think Yalcouye would be in because he did not play a minute midweek. Decision to start Cullen is a positive change though, hopefully more players getting into the box today and if one falls to him, we know what he can do.

They have a strong bench but ours is the strongest I ever remember us having in a Championship game if we need to change things or go agan.

Crazy to think Galbraith who’s pretty much had 7 Man of the Match performances in a row is dropped

I suppose I do see some logic in it with resting some players but still think we should be starting our best players.

Innousa should be starting too in my opinion

It's a double edged sword. The more they play the more we risk them picking up injures.

For once we have the luxury of having a pretty decent squad.

Also he might have put Galbraith on the bench with an eye to replacing Key if he has another poor game. Don’t think Key has done enough to justify dropping him from the starting XI quite yet (although I absolutely would not start him against Man City).

I don’t think the last 4 years have a lot of relevance when talking about this season. If your point is that the football could be turgid at times then I agree, doesn’t change the fact that we’re taking our chances at the moment and not creating much, even in home games.

I’m on record as saying if we start looking more productive then I’ll admit to jumping the gun a bit. Everything I’m saying at the moment is only based on what we’re currently seeing, there is of course time and scope for it to change.
