This squad is 17th quality? Really? Fuck all created again and one goal again - you cannot say our players are that bad
I have to agree. Sorry North Hill. You talk alot of sense on this forum, but you keep saying this squad is not good. I disagree. We have good players, you can see that. The coaching

The frustration train keeps going, we are a badly coached team when we enter the opponents half.

I have run of ideas on what formation we should adapt and what players start to with because it's end up with same under par performance.

This was always the outcome when the team news was announced . Back 5 and Cullen on the wing. Another game lost because of the manager.
Sheehan has been negative all season, trying to protect one goal leads or draws.
This was a formation to try and prevent Man City scoring too many against us. Every year we try 5 at the back for a few games which we lose, before reverting back.
We need to attack. You can’t score unless you get the ball into the box and shoot. What is wrong with a good old 4 4 2

Im also not buying the narrative that we have an excellent squad of players just waiting to be managed properly to unparalleled success. I’ve seen no evidence that this is anything other than an average group of lower mid table championship players. With a manager to match.
It is also true that the wrong manager can make players look worse than they actually are. Look at Cov under Robins last season, they were awful until Lampard came in, they had the same group of players. Cooper at Forest is another.

To be fair. You have been saying this team is bang Average for a while and consistent with that. Your opinion and all but it's the coaching. I don't think this team is average.
Yep, I've been saying it ever since Cooper left and the parachute money ran out mate.

For every Piroe, Downes or Galbraith we sign, we probably sign about 3 or 4 Eoms. And we're still doing it.

This squad is no different to the previous ones - ceiling is 10th, floor is about where we are now. Probably finish bang in the middle of those two positions. Regardless of coach.

Yes that’s also true. I’m not convinced that’s the case here but it’s a valid opinion.

The counter argument would be that the league is full of teams with a similar quality of player.

But every year, two or three of them push the top 6 and some get promoted because of the manager they have.

Those with average managers languish.

It's interesting isn't it?
Look at Stoke under Robins this season.
It makes you wonder whether it's a lottery.

It's called coaching lisa. Pointless arguing with you because you have a habit of going against the grain on every post
Well last season I went against the grain for weeks by saying Sheehan was looking a lot better simply due to O’Brien and we were in danger of missing that and appointing the wrong person…

Absolutely correct assessment.

1st goal was a worldie or fluke whatever you want to call it 2nd goal was an individual error whilst chasing the equaliser, the delay in transition from midfield shows we don’t have a general who takes the game by the scruff of the neck and drives forward.

I don’t think this is a coaching issue, its a bit of quality and a bit of confidence
I agree, Preston are the form side we at presant are not, now as i have said in other posts this batch of games are the hardest we have had to date and in all honesty the results show how we are doing, for me the ipswich game is a VERY important game now, in 17th we cannot aford to lose this one,, People can call for the managewrs head, well at presant not for me, christmas time will determin his fate or not time will tell, its goals for we are lacking
