• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

No post match interview with Cooper on line? Strangely quiet

It is very unusual for the morning after a match

Can only assume that the media team took an early night... ;)

Woodgate on his “brilliant” Cherries

Bournemouth manager Jonathan Woodgate was full of praise for his Bournemouth side after they brushed aside the Swans at the Vitality Stadium last night to very much keep their play off hopes alive.

COOPER PLEASED BY MORGAN WHITTAKER DISPLAY

Source: Swansea official Site

Steve Cooper felt Morgan Whittaker’s performance from the bench was a positive to take from Swansea City’s defeat to Bournemouth.

The Swans suffered a 3-0 defeat to the Cherries, a first loss in five games for Cooper’s side, that leaves them three points off the top two with a game in hand.

Whittaker, a January signing from Derby, was introduced at the break with the visitors 2-0 down at the Vitality Stadium.

And he proved a lively presence, forcing Asmir Begovic into a fine fingertip save after driving in from the right flank to get away a powerful, early shot.

An attempt at a similar effort was blocked, before Begovic again denied him from close range as Whittaker’s late run met an excellent cross from Ryan Manning.

“Morgan is a player who has been doing really well in training,” said Cooper.

“We brought him in during January for the future really, but we wanted to put him in the first-team squad straightaway because of the position he plays.

“He is doing well and, the more opportunities we can give him in the shorter term, the better.

“He took the opportunity in this game well, and on another day Begovic might not have pulled of those saves.

“I was pleased with him, he did well.”

The fact that we now see Connor Robert’s long throw as our best attacking option says it all about us really, I bet some of our former managers can’t believe what they’re seeing.

Feel a bit for the guys on the bench who are only thrown on if 2 goals down.Which doesn't happen often tbf. If you are one of the one's dropped for a game or 2 don't worry you'll soon be back in the team. He may as well just name 4 subs cos the rest ain't getting a game.

Last night I definitely reached the point where I would rather see Oli Cooper developing in a real game, than another 90 minutes of Hourihane standing around with his thumb up his arse. Ditto the Lowe & Ayew nothing men. Lets see what Whittaker has got, and Arriola...oh no he’s injured, isn’t he...hmmm...really....well if that is true Routs then. Someone running out to in, rather than into the corners to give the ball away.

The way things are shaping up, he needs to win against Cardiff, and stop making rods for his own back

We need to be looking at winning every game, starting at Bournemouth ;)

The same attitude as Narwich and Witford

It’s going to be a cripple fight. Longthrowarama.

Lucky we’re not there or there’d be 20,000 whiplash claims. Suppose if you will employ a manager with Cardiff roots, you’re asking for it.
