Swansea City v Norwich City
The Liberty Stadium, Swansea
Friday February 05 2021, 8.15pm Kick Off

View attachment Championship Logo.png

As it stands at the point this thread was created it is 2nd v 1st at the Liberty Stadium on Friday as the Swans welcome Norwich to South West Wales for a clash that could see the two teams end the night just one point apart.

However, Norwich are in action against Millwall in midweek and Brentford against Bristol City so things could change quite a bit before kick off but it takes nothing away from the importance of this match for both sides as they look to continue their push for a place in next season's Premier League.

As you would expect both sides are in great form ahead of the game - the Swans are unbeaten in 9 (7 wins and 2 draws) whilst Norwich are 11 unbeaten in the league (9 wins and 2 draws) which only increases the anticipation for what is our biggest game of the season to date.

It took just one late goal to separate the sides when they met at Carrow Road earlier in the season but it was a game that could have gone either way and the Swans will definitely be looking to ensure that they do not let one of their key rivals complete a league double over them.

The game has - as you would expect - been selected for live TV coverage on Sky Sports and, as ever, on Planet Swans we have for you some of the most comprehensive pre-match coverage in our matchday thread that will bring you all we need to know over the next few days as well as all the chat during the match together with every post match follow up you would wish to read (and maybe even more!)

Midweek Fixtures

Some big games in midweek that impact the Swans with Watford, Norwich and Brentford all in action.

Could we be outside the top 2 on Friday or if all went our way we could enter Saturday morning a point behind Norwich with a game in hand?

Lets turn up for this and take the game to Norwich. They don't have the pace of the other promotion rival visitors and were poor against Boro
.Nothing to fear apart from us under performing again, time to make a big statement of intent this week ! No hiding !

No hiding, apart from the good one we're going to give them!

No Hiding Place, good tv that, DCS Lockhart, one of the best coppers on the box.

Please Coops, can we just go for it. Rather we crash and burn than wimp out.

This ^

Because we have the ammunition to beat them.

Please dont sit back coops.

Set up like we did against Reading and we'll have a good chance of picking up the 3pts, especially with their top player Buendia out of this match.

If we're serious about promotion, we have to beat them and take home 3 points, as tough as it's going to be, we must beat them
