I think we'll get beaten quite easily in this fixture, our performance against Blackburn was quite poor in all honesty.. we were gifting them break after break until the red card changed our approach.. I think he must persist with Piroe and Obafemi as a starting combo

The very literal cold wet Tuesday night in Stoke.

Will be a hard match but Stoke are in a similar place to us in the table, I loved the adventurous attacking lineup last time out. Now we just need to temper that with better composure on the ball under pressure. A big big big part of that is confidence, wins will help to breed that confidence.

----------------------- Fisher -------------------------
Christie ------------ Cabango ------------- Ogbeta
----------- Downes -------------- Grimes -----------
Ntcham ------------ Paterson ---------------- Wolf
------------ Obafemi ---------- Piroe ---------------

If Naughton is fit then him in for Cabango otherwise only change I can see is Ogbeta for Manning. Paterson likely won't have another 90 minutes in him so quickly after a month and half off but if he is ready we have to start him.

Fisher
Christie Naughton Cabango Lati
Paterson Grimes Downes Ntcham Wolf
Obafemi

Naughton confirmed out, and obviously Manning.

Will Finley Burns get his chance?

Yes Stoke is a shithole with fans to match, but this myth about it being a nitemare place to get a result gotta stop.
They are indifferent at best this season, plenty have got a result there. Yes we need to front up, but we should have learnt a lot from Blackburn. Plus Clucas and co can fck off....we def owe them.

Feel he’ll go with Bennett against this lot

I would prefer a back four against Stoke, Cabango and Burns in the middle and obviously Ogbeta will surely have to get his first start with Manning suspended.

This will be interesting. They took us apart almost contemptuously early season. It will be a good measure of progress after 5 months of The Process.

How great would it be to stick one on them. I sense an early onslaught, so we’ll need to be tight and then get a grip of it.

Our form is relatively superior and we should sustain our winning momentum with a front foot selection.

Your front 5 is table-topping, so much latent talent potential about to explode. And Piroe has a point to prove.

The weakest link by some distance is Cabango at the heart of that defence. Heart of a lion but such the square peg in a Martin set up. Esp with rookie Ogbeta.

Without a commanding, driving, ball playing CB we have to play Downs there again - who shone in the 1st half. Giving us the platform to allow Grimesy to wrest total control of his midfield domain. It looked like a proper watershed moment with one of our best performances.

1-3 - if Martin is bold, takes heed from the above comments and takes the game to an indifferent Stoke

.

The Stoke fans’ early thoughts which I read so you don’t have to. Stoke have no injury problems and will have a full squad to choose from. I expect us to lose, but would love us to wipe the complacent smirks off their faces. You’d never believe that they are at the same level in the table as us. And notice how there is no discussion of tactics in their comments, but perhaps that's too advanced for them.
...
“Swansea concede a lot of chances when they’re dicking about at the back and are pressed.”
...

“... we've all seen multiple times already how Clucas turns into the world's greatest ever player against this opposition”
...

“Clucas hat-trick, he pulls out the stops v Swansea.”
...

“Watched a couple of Swansea games lately, they define average”
...
“Swansea looked decent in recent seasons but they're really mediocre now. Dull as dishwater”
...
“Clucas has to start doesn’t he?”
...
“He could rest Allen, whose legs are not really up to playing so much, although he'll probably send him on in the second half to protect our lead. Then Joe will pass straight to a Swansea player and our lead will be gone.”
...
“Clearly fans aren't considered in having these midweek fixtures. Swansea to Stoke is a 5 hour journey”
...
“Clucas just because it’s Swansea”

I don't think they are fans of the way we play

3-0 is usually the bolt on defeat for us midweek at Stoke, so not feeling too optimistic.

They're rather confident for an overspending underachieving mid table pile of shite.

Although I have no doubt Clucas will fire them to victory just because he despises us that much. He must have scored three since he's been there, two definitely and probably not many in total for them
