• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

He can fk off as well. Clear out alll the shat. Williams should walk into the dressing room and say all of of you who dont want to be here , get up and fk off.
There may only be 4 players leftbut he will know where he stands.
John Bond built a team of borrowed players in early 1985 and kept us up.

Oh what a season. Derek Parlane, Robin Turner, Barry Powell, Paul Price, Colin Sullivan etc. There were more throughout but these were the ones for the last 20 odd games ( I'm missing a midfielder I'm sure). Alan Waddle returned. Saunders, Pascoe, Dud, Duffer. Stayed up with a brilliant last 5 games. Think we won at Plymouth, Preston and Bristol R at home. And The Jimmy Rimmer match against Wurzel City to keep us up. Great season. Pity we went down the next season as we were utter gash.

What if Williams also walks 😆

In fairness to John Bond we went into receivership and came back from the dead the next season. Did a remarkable job in keeping us up after the disaster of Colin Appleton's tenure. That Friday night game with Rimmer's heroics was one of the best nights down at the old girl.

Darling is a decent defender, but not irreplaceable. His passing can be woeful at times and let us not forget the falling over display against the eastern lot.
So if we can get a few pennies for him, then we should.

I wonder if offering the captaincy to Darling would be an option (once he returns from suspension and if he is still here that is)

Lets hope the lad from Burnley kicks on and keep him out of the side.

It was if a Higher Power had decreed the Wurzels would not score 😁. If they managed to beat Rimmer, which was not often they hit the bar or we cleared it off the line.

Yeah get a few mil for darling, get Low, Swede and another attackkkg mid and it could really help us

That's the one I'd forgotten. Cheers. Remember some of the crap we had that season, moreso with Appleton. Paul Gardiner, David Cole and Gary Williams (mind you they went to do well at other clubs), Gerry bloody Francis, Phil Fisher.
Anthony Cottee even started a game (v Bristol Rovers.( I was in school with him. He ended up playing Cricket for Glamorgan and having a decent career). That game was the same day as the Bradford fire. I was so happy getting on the bus home after a thrilling 3-2 victory kept our survival hopes alive when the news started to filter in.
